Best Pro Performance Upgrade for money

Pipe-Can if set up right
Can- Nope unless you add to a pipe and controller
Stock ECU Reflash-Nope
Head-Can if done right, sometimes with a can
Reeds-Nope
Fuel Controller-Add to the rest
Air box-Nope, well the SLP cold air helps in snow but not really more HP
Vents- Nope

If you go with a pipe and what not you really have to do a controller.

I would say for the money RK's Drop in piston and head...

dynoport exhaust set up

par, bikeman, or rkt heads

pcv

porting

and boyesen reeds

if i was just going to get one it would be the dynoport exhaust set up...around 10 hp

after that it would be pcv, if you know what your doing you can get some good gains all over the rpm range

after that it would be porting(from bikeman, aaen, or any 2 stroke shop) 7 hp

after that would be cylinder heads, up to 6 hp in the midrange and 3 on top

boyesen reeds, 4 hp

why go through all that work and money for minimal gains when you can bolt on a turbo and have some serious gains

Doesn't TracksUSA have some kind of straight swap for a camoplast challenger that pencils out to have 40% more efficiency? Who knows what trade they do?

What's your budget? There are several paths to go. The Pro is awesome with just a good can but there are some great "packages" to add on.

800 bucks for a rkteck dropin kit.no controller needed unless its a 13,minor clutching and a real ten to 15 hp gain. plus smoother running happier engine:face-icon-small-ton

wow...

well...for me atleast id rather not deal with paying 8k for a good turbo set up...the weight...the tuning...the expensive fuel...the throttle response...

with that said...i would gladly take a push turbo for my pro anyday...if it costed as much as pipes, porting, and heads

and do you know anything about power curve? unless your climbing hills and only doing that why would anyone go through the trouble of having a peaked power curve and costing more while you can get a big bore? for cheaper, more low end grunt, and better throttle response

Porting- $350-700
Head- $350
Pipe- $500
Can- $250
Pcv- $300
Stock pistons- $480

So for $2500 I can have 165hp or more pending on parts used and elevation.
Rkt 858 is roughly the same price once you pay shipping and doesn't give as much gain (sold by a snake oil salesman)
Turbo kits start at $5500 and produce big power BUT cost more time and money every ride.
What I'm getting at is roffrider was on the right track but since no one sells all of that in a "kit" I'm sure it won't work! Video to come once the snow is here!

what are you talking about? cylinder heads wont change in hp because it is a PAR head and the pipe you got is a dynoport...the pipe you have is a dynoport but it wont get mad and be lower hp numbers because you have bikeman porting...

but lots of pcv tuning will have to happen, if that is what you mean by not working

Roff I was agreeing with you!!! As I have learned recently, not all porting, pipes, heads are the same, all of them should make power but it will not be the same hp rating for every combo. I'm going to be running CPI porting, CPI pipe/can, PAR head, PC V, and stock pistons with proper clearance. $2050 is retail for everything I listed and will give you a solid 20hp over stock. That's 168-172 hp in a pro for less than any big bore I can find.

lol...muuhhh bad...

but slp does make complete kits with 20 hp over

bikemans kits are about 23 hp over

include heads, pipes, porting, and pcv with their maps installed

cost more than the cpi set up though
