Mike any testing done by your group on the integerity of the rear bumper?
I can state for a fact that in heavy wet snow and buried deep- 2 BIG guys reefing on the bumper to lift a stuck sled with a suspension filled with snow there is NO FLEX- NO concerns on a straight up pull....
Time will come to to test a rear pull and I hope it doesn't V on us....
towed a sled with mine, an 05, and it squeezed the tunnel together in the rear, pulled the bumper into a longer V, I fixed it, but wouldn't want to fix it very often.I can tell you is that I have personally towed out sleds, from off-trail and on the trail with no problems. As a matter of fact it is the bumper in the update pic earlier in this post.
I have NOT tried a Bungie though, just an FYI

Mike-
Could we rivet it from the inside like we did on the install of the bumper.
It would look alot cleaner to rivet from the inside-and into the hollow part of the bumper.

yeah it slides to the middle.Really...
Interesting, when I towed the sleds I never noticed if the strap slid to the middle or not that may strech the V, the added supports we will be sending out should take care of that though.

Mike, i just ordered the bumper kit this week. will this come with the new mounts with the update kit and everything or are you still sending them out??
just installed the bdx bumper kit, lots of room between bumper and cooler tube with a pry to put good quality 1/8 rubber for protection instead of silicone, also l cut old bumper off of tail/mud flap housing {some sanding required where old bumper meets in center where its hard to get flush cut}etc and trimed sides of old unit off and tapered and shortened mud flap, presto, bdx kit with a factory finish that you can still use stock tail light /mud flap assembly and not have the issues with needing the support kit, aawesome kit if you take the time to improvise on bdx basic install,ps thanks for all the posts etc that helped give all the different options..
Take some pics. That sounds like what i want to do.
