I was going to order the BD-X bumper. Looks like I'll hold off on that and fab the 09 system onto my 08. Thanks guys for keeping it honest.

I think the BDX foot supports have a better fit and finish compaired to the Cats, from the couple that I've seen. But the Cat bumper looks to be more functional and stonger. And the '09 Cat rear cooler doesnt hang down in a dangerous place waiting to brake off.

I'm going to try and do a mix of the two kits.

Why Dosent anyone use Van am Anymore? i Love there Bumper.

I had a VE bumper on my previous M sled but am going with a BDX on the current one. The VE looked good, but didn't give you that tapered kicked up tunnel to minimize the dragging in the steep and deep. A heck of alot easier to mount though compared to the BDX.

Here is what happened to my sled using the BDX conversion.

I got the brackets and was going to install them till I saw this...Mess:mad:
I don't see any pic's of guy's using them "reinforcement" things we got for free....
I think the afterthought was sent a little to late. / what a band aid.

I drilled holes to prevent further cracking.. I only ran this conversion for 2 months, and now I cannot get BDX to return my call/or P/m's
Hopefully this will get some response...

As far as the update kits go, we tried mutiple different supports to fixing the support issue, some people had the issue and some did not. There were a couple of fixes in my opinion that looked better however they added a lot of weight so we went with the 2 tabs.

However I am a little confused on the not returning your messages, I am not trying to start an argument but, yes it is my fault I have not been on SW in a while, did not see your PM. But I did not see any e-mails or any VM?

I sent you a PM, as always we will help you out best we can.

Was this issue ever resolved? The tabs look terrible IMHO. Without seeing the weak areas in person, I can't say how, but there has to be a cleaner way to reinforce this area.

Got my finger on the order button, what's the general concensus?

i was going to have my dad get this to replace his stock m8 bumper that go ripped off by the snobunji, but after the cracking thing and only one person saying that it will hold up I think he can wait longer.

Up-date!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just got off the Phone With Mike at BDX:D

Wanted to report to all the we have discussed my tunnel issue in depth, and BDX is going to cover the cost to repair the defect:beer;

With the attention Mike PERSONALY gave recently- BDX became for me a vendor/supplier that I will continue to purchase from

Bottom Line..... :face-icon-small-win Mike @ BDX stands behind the products and gives complete customer service after the sale.

HAT's off to Mike- :beer;:beer;:beer;:beer;:beer;:face-icon-small-coo

Glad to hear that MD. Every company has issues from time to time, it how they deal with them that make them stand out. Way to go Mike!:beer;

Are there any better options for the "tabs"? I would love to see some better pictures of the area it's supposed to reinforce. Then I can gauge what needs to be done. I want something that looks clean and offers better support than the "tabs".

There is a Vanamburg cooler im lookin into. Should eliminate problems with the cracking??? Or was that caused from a diff issue.?

I really want the kit for my 08, but i'm still very much debating... I have one question thou, to add this kit, do you gotta cut up the rear most part of the tunnel to get the taper?

yes you can tow with the bdx bumper, we've done it several times with no problems. you can also use a bunjie, but i don't know why you would??? have always found grabbing the ski gives a much better pull to get the sled going than waiting for the spring to get tight...
