Baker Shootout

So hurley, what your sayin' is that it wasn't JSTROWS idea??? I go back quite aways and I dont recall it being Blindmans idea. Who set the first date? Maybe we need JSTROWS to chime in and give his 2 cents worth. I'm sure he would have an interesting view, always does.

HPI, you are correct. I am no history buff but I do have a good memory. The Baker Shoot Out was originally dubbed the Medium Iron Shoot Out. It was thought up by myself and HPI. The reason was simple.....show the world that our triples were more powerful than that of 4Z's. I could fill in more of the blanks but I chose not to, so don't ask for more. We still don't know who was the winner as 4Z had a little leak in his big block.

As for Blindman there were only two races he could win: 1) a drinking race. I am good but not on his level. Ruffy gets the crown for the roughest over nighter though.
2) blindman could always win the ever famous hot dog eating contest. Blessed with massive chewing speed and hand eye coordination, he could really put em down.

In closing: DO NOT QUESTION HPI ABOUT THIS AGAIN.

I guess we could even further back and see wich of us has deeper roots in that area?!?? lmao

jstrohs ..glad this topic got you out of another checkers game with pat o'day!

pretty amazing how blindmans idea of a baker shootout has taken off !!

No offense man but you ain't local enough to know better....Jay and Jeff definitely started the Medium Iron Shootout...then it became the Baker Shootout when the club got involved and started cooking (I think it was AJ and The Prez that got that part going). Gotten bigger and bigger since.

The Saxon Rd. cemetary? I'll bet not too many people know where that is. Most of the family trees up there resemble telephone poles. (not many branches) That should clear up a lot of questions we all had about your personality. You should seek counciling immediately.

once upon a time...

About 23 years ago, when I was a young teenager there was a big group of sleds above peanut in the railroad grade and some skiers came by. The last skier was hopped up on something and b*tchn about the tracks and such. After getting an earful of smart remarks he decided to charge the group... There was a huge guy, I think an off duty cop?, next to me that the guy ran into. The big guy picked him up, threw his poles away laid him on the seat of a sled, took his goggles off, and with one short pop, knocked him the **** out!.

When the skier woke-up and his buddies came over to apologize and scoop-up their acquaintance, the big sledder offered him a drink and there was a civil conversation about the muti-use of the mountain. The big guy got real drunk then and all the other guys were trying to get me to sneak over and get his flask from him:face-icon-small-sho. He dropped his pistol and had a heck of a time getting off the mountain; but he had fun and got to KO a whiny skier:face-icon-small-hap.

I was riding a Ski-doo SS and it was an accomplishment just to get over the nob. I think that was the year I found the bottle of blackberry brandy in the windshield bag and lost the sled over the creek-side of the nob.

Just some of the good old days. I don’t remember anything about a shootout back then?
