Just opened one up as a matter a fact, coors banquet to be exact!:D:beer;

In all reallity I think this will only raise the bar for the un-naturally asperated 4s market which as consumers only makes it better for us, I hope that we see this on the snow and push the aftermarket and OEM's further than ever!

Well, i bet its something like. "The lightest and most powerful or the best hp per lb on the market in the 4 stroke market or ours is better than yours...."

LOL

Don't get me wrong, I'd like to see this Doo 4 stroke work, but their marketing (well "all" their marketing) is just a joke..so whats the point of buying into any of it. What works and CONTINUES TO work on the hill is what makes a difference to me. When the Doo 4 stroke is a add gas, turn key, pull trigger @ ~200 hp (yes boosted) and is an all around reliable sled...I'll seriously consider it when it comes time for something different.
Being a Rotax boy at the blood may have something to do with it, but I'll be open minded.. I'm just done rebuilding 2 stroke mods...

But, the turbo Yamaha has done me quite nicely these last few months, can't wait for the real snow! :D

Username : Rotax .....Rides a Yammy = Priceless ! :D:beer;:D

E..Wonder what STOCK Apex/Nytro with a garret 66 at 22 psi would make for power...just for a comparro???

I think you mean a Aerocharger 66 as it wasn't a Garret turbo used in that dyno session. The Aerocharger series 66 on an Apex with stock compression, VP Import fuel, and a decently designed header (don't look at the Boondocker file on Dynotech as that header design leaves alot on the table for HP) should achieve 420+ hp as well.

Jim just posted this in the Doo section! ;)

just posted Full Power Performance turbo system numbers deto-free with 87 octane gas. 200 plus and everyone will be happy.

$2999 est for the turbo kit.

Sorry I meant Aero..

As for what it should make on a STOCK motor...lets just say its NOT even close to 425 hp...BJ

FYI- its not a bash..just scene a couple on the pump and the ones that made 400+ had alot of extra replacement parts and extra boost...

The 205 hp/130 tq version was 87 octane pump gas, garret 25 at 6.5 psi, at 7.5 psi it made 230 hp/155 tq on 92-94 octane...the Full Power kit comes with everything for $2995...

Why is that ? I bet it could happen with the same gas. Amazing things can happen on a dyno but dont expect it to last in the real world. Besides it has a 200cc advantage so it should make more power. How smart does someone look bragging that 1000 Cat beats a stock 800 Doo on the Ski-Doo site.

well its 1170cc and the nytros 1050 so do the math!!!! and if your comparing cc's! what? a nytro should be up against m 1000's then, not 600's!

OK, I was talking the Apex 170cc any idiot knows not to compare 1000cc 4 stroke to a 1000cc 2 stroke....you do the math.

but the doo was to be in the same class as a nytro, not a apex!!!!

I think its great Doo has gone to the 4 stroke and 427hp is awesome but its what I have read in these posts that makes want to comment. I have a Doo in my garage too and am not brand loyal. I was one of the first to tell BJ to try something new as he has mastered the 2 stroke. As is in most cases the more displacement the more potential for big power so of course 125cc advantage will make more power with boost.... I'm not talking about bone stock and to me if you got the bigger motor bragging about beating the smaller one you look like a fool.

other than doo's inability to make clutches and drivetrain that can hold together i bet this thing will be a handful... a 200+ HP toy that can run on 87... that would be fun. and readonable affordable for boost, minus replacing drivers, clutches and the whole shebang for stuff that will last... oh well. this will get well beat to death over the summer.

Thats a cheap kit! Does it include, blow offs, fuel controller, intercooler, etc, etc? Sounds interesting.
