427 hp 1200 4tec (on day one)

this doesn't come as a surprise to anyone...does it?? They have issues at much lower hp so unless they have done some major changes hard to see how they will hold up with double the stress on them..........02
 
take it easy.give the man credit for making you stand up for what you know.iam sure big john knows his stuff.it was just a few years back when yamaha introduced the rx1 and all the nay sayers were on the negative attack like a bunch of hyenias.yamaha proved all you guys wrong. why, cause you are on here bashing bj on his new product.i'll bet cash on the barrell you were all 2 strokers before the rx1, apex, nitro.hey help the guy out with some positive critisism to make a better product and another choice.remember you tried it once who knows maybe again.

when a guy comes into an apposing sled section and toots his horn about how amazing this sled is "GOING" to be, what do you expect. Guys need to learn to keep their pie holes shut until they can back it up. I saw I believe a video of the PL kit on the doo, and that thing sounds and looks like it was running awesome. I don't see them coming on here and bragging up their kit??

seen the pl 1200 make a few pulls in eagles pass a couple,3 weeks back.i must say it pulled hard for 10lbs,impressive.the only thing was it didn't make it off the mtn cause the clutches blew apart:(
 
1200 Skidoo Turbo

We at Powder Lites have been working with Top Secret guys to make this sled run and today it is back out riding with some more updates.
Yes Shockwave sent us some new updated helixes cause the machining was done wrong and it failed.
It is pretty quick for only 10 psi boost as it won second and third in 100 Mile House snow drags.
Here is a list of other turbos it beat. Powder Lites Vector turbo's 2 of them running between 13 and 15 psi boost.
Alpine vector turbo and don't know how much boost.
Alpine FX Nytro turbo.
Alpine RX1 turbo with NOS, Very big Boost like he said up to 30 psi from Dumbass racing was scratching to keep ahead of the Doo.
The smoothest running sled I have ever been on and has big torque.
Yamaha guys are very curious about what is was once it made a couple of passes.

so it wasn't the clutches??? has anyone weighed one yet full wet weight? Curiuos how much diff. from the nytro....motor sounds kind of neat
 
dave you are saying the doo beat an rx1 with 30 pounds of boost .something is wrong with that sled .

Starting line had some ice on it and lots of guys were spinning out.

In the grudge match after the King class D.Miller beat PL's Nytro, which beat the 1200 Doo.

All the boost guys were having a hard time in the far lane. Basically whomever could get to the 100ft mark first won the race(traction)

BTW - Sledjunkies T-Vec(Alpine) was running 12-13lbs.

here in quebec(my town), there is a doo 1200 with mcx kit at 10lbs........he is now on his fifth clutch, and third engine........the guy is a flatlander with a 136 1200cc.........if this is what you guys call reliability, then i'm lost again:face-icon-small-sho........i will for sure wait a few years before i switch back to doo.......running my impulse kit on a 162 with little to no problems.....why would i go look for problems anyway??? for 35lbs shaved?? no thanks
 
well its 1170cc and the nytros 1050 so do the math!!!! and if your comparing cc's! what? a nytro should be up against m 1000's then, not 600's!

Your right it should be. I dont know why Yamaha allways rates their HP so low? If Yamaha says 130hp on their Dyno it would probly be 150Hp on Doos Dyno and a Nytro would only weigh 490lbs on their scale. Just saying Yamaha is alot more conservative on their numbers. Ive never seen any stock 600 beat a stock Nytro But in Oregon I saw the new 2010 162 Nytro beat an M1000, m800 and an 06 Rev 800 in a drag race.
 
got proof???like a video??? I have ridden the 1000 and find it hard to swallow the nytro would beat the 1000. I suppose anything is possible on a certain day tho

I'll ck on footage someone was filming. They raced a few times It depended on who got hookup off the start but the Nytro won just as many times as the M100. My buddy was on the Rev, It was close w/ the Rev but the Nytro won. My buddy was Pizzed he ordered a leftover 08 Nytro w/ stage 1 sc now. The Nytro didnt win every time but it was alot closer than than a Nytro and a 600! I know the Nytro was bone stock but i dont know about the other sleds. My point is it competes better with alot higher HP sleds than a 600.

Dont forget this was a 2010 162SE. New track, rear suspension, and less 20Lbs.
 
That would be great if its true. LOVE to see the pics or videos of it. Makes the new price tag:eek: a little easier to swallow..;).
 
Was chatting with the old guy about that sled and His opinion is. Just the thought of some French dude from Quebec thrusting a broken drive shaft up your exit hole and spanking you with another broken belt, gives him nightmares.:eek:

well, the dude from quebec is now so fedup after 5 clutches blown and now is fourth engine seezed and rod broken and ect.....he is selling is mcx kit!!!it is in french but if you want a hold of him just pm me i know the guy personnaly and i will translate for ya......he will let go the kit for 4000$

Sorry to pee on your parade, but I know Yves Levesque, and first his kit is not a MCXpress at all but a CJ Motorsports. Secondly, all his problems come from him doing all sort of mods to the system and fooling around with fuel management systems, air intake........... He is the craftman of his disasters;)
