427 hp 1200 4tec (on day one)

Ummm lighter than a Nytro...:eek:

My Renegade X with a 146/16/2.25 will weigh less than tha flatlander 121" Nytro..and if someone steps up and wants a 163" Summit made from a XR Renegade, I can doo that too..and it wold be closer to 500 lbs dry...

I did a little research on DTR...seems 427 hp/273 tq is pretty good compared to the T-APEX..(one had 440+ hp and around 220 tq from 30psi boost w/120 octane fuel)-BJ

Tim- can I get a couple years of turbo tuneing experience to "catch up" to were you guys are now??? or are you going to throw the new kid under he bus day one??:face-icon-small-win

LoL . I doubt if you need any more than a few weeks for catch up time. I wish you much luck in your endeavor my friend .

What do guys mean I don't get it? The thing weighs less than 500 lbs like 498 and has some sweet front suspension.it looks like its on rails going thru the corners. who knows what is going to become of it because it is a ski doo and I have a really good memory going back for too long now. It put up good numbers tho but realistically it probably will never be an
apex but a nytro isn't ever going to be an apex either, bottomline!
 
Bought time someone starts to catch up in the fourstroke game, like others have said, its lonely at the top, lmao! Really though, im excited to see what this motor can do and take throughout a full season of riding.

And Big John, simmer down son, you posted in a yamaha section, what did you expect to hear, that we were all going to jump ship and drool all over BRP and say its the greatest because of a few dyno runs, c'mon man. I respect your loyalty to the brand and am glad the skidoo guys finally have something to get a woody over that can compete with the big boys, let the fun begin!

22lbs of boost and it goes to 427h.p. wow that engine is the most efficient one yet to be boosted almost seems bogus but hope its true, everyone knows BRP is a threat now,I wish A.C. engineers would read this, 1000 suzuke in a f series chassis please please please, Then we would have a race, BRP, Cat and yammy, that would change sledding real nicely, my 2 cents

lmfao just cuZ nobody showed up to the bdso cuz the weather sucked up there doesnt mean the nytro is the fastest thing on the planet especially when just about everything that left there had bad headgaskets. If thats not what ur talking about then let's hook up since you must have the real good stuff. I really don't get it. A nytro isn't very light weight it doesnt handle real good, blows belts and at best its still less than 300hp and isnt dependable and don't forget its so rider forward in the real deep you can't see nothin with every bit of snow comin up in ur face. Let's see did I miss anything?please don't tell me you think a nytro is as reliable as a tapex belts etc and could even compete with a full blown tapex. That will make me laugh.

yeah I guess I missed the 600plus hp 500lb dependable nytro that went all season where was it parked at?

You need to get off the forums and pay more attention to the real world bud. Nytros are holding there own agaisnt many of the biggest and baddest APex's out there, ask around or just pay attention and you would know this already, you making those statements made me laugh, thanks;) And no, i dont own a Nytro, sorry.

Oh, and there are quite a few Nytro's running well over the 300hp mark, this proves your lack of awareness in this subject, just my .02

I ran 1000 miles on my boosted nytro, same belt all year, never had any break downs, very reliable, the clutches on a nytro are the same as on an apex as long as they are tuned properly there is no belt problem, i ran 18-22 lbs boost a 30 hp shot of nitrous, so I don,t know what nytro,s you have been around but they must not have been set up right, as for will they run with the big hp apex,s we will see for sure this year, and I would put my money on a turboed rx1 befor the apex, I think the freakmobile has proved that, and as the only turboed four stroke that beat my trx at fairview was the freakmobile I due have an idea how they run against the apexs, as I said we will see this year how the nytro does against the trx and apex. I ran a stock motor no head shim, 3 stock gaskets stacked all year so yes I do think the nytro is just as dependable as the apex if not more so.

Okay.....i'm going to give in just a tad here.........These things are not even in full production yet........and you claim they weigh 498lbs? like......that's light..........but really...........dont make accusations. Sorta like............like.......like.............l....ike.......counting your eggs before they hatch :rolleyes:

Cant wait to see this thing on the snow! And running every day, day in and day out :) Skidoo should shoot for reliability and a good quality product before full production.....

Without nos who has a kit that makes
more than 300? And are you guys realistically saying nytro don't have boosted headgasket problems? Better call dave at powderlites then cuz he's wasting alot of time and money getting his new lockring wire headgasket into production. The highest dyno numbers I've seen yet was 283. And I've seen alot of blown up nytro this year due to headgaskets past 18.
 
I guess Mike Irmen and the boys with boosted Nytro's just imagined themselves pulling some of the craziest chutes ever. Chutes that have never been climbed before.. They must have photoshoped all those pictures and with the magic of editing, pulled them with ease.
