2025 Ski-Doo Rumors and Predictions

I bought a hold over '23 G5 Edge last week. They charged me all the BS fees, including "setup", but the OTD price was still too cheap to pass up. They said they haven't sold many sleds this year (terrible snow in the PNW). I guess they got rusty putting them together. Hurts paying somebody to do it wrong.

🤦

I've never been charged freight and setup. Freight and setup are the cost of doing business. You can't have it delivered to your house and you're not allowed to assemble it yourself. If that's the case, they shouldn't charge for it.
All 3 of my sleds I have bought in the last 10 years I didn't pay those fees.

and I still have not learned to check the bolts myself. all 3 of them the riser bolts were super loose and first hit I flew over the bars. 3 times now .. you would think I would learn to check that.

I wish I could just get the crate delivered to my house lol.

A lot of you forget that doo had short coolers on a XM for 1 year only and went back to the full length cooler for the next MY year.

the short cooler on the 2015 T3s was at the back rather then the front like Cat and Polaris are now so it was a little bit different and didn't really bring the benefits of centralized mass and less ice on the running boards.

Last cat i snowchecked was 2020 hardcore 154 for $12000 with 1 year of warranty. Add 1200 for a guage and 1200 for e start and 165 and I'll throw them another 1000. That 858 better not be over 15400.
I am a 154 guy but liked my 19 165 better.

Wow-were both front shocks incorrectly mounted or just the one?

Pretty sure Polaris tried that didn’t they? Heat exchangers through the running boards [emoji23]

Yup, that's what my old EDGE has; Gen II and 900 had it, and some older sleds had something similar. It's a good idea for a trail sled, but garbage in deep snow. You could let it idle twenty minutes until all the buildup has melted, but one quick rip around the meadow and it's all back. It causes more buildup, and in some conditions it's an absolute slush magnet.

I think having the cooling centered in the tunnel and as far forward as possible is the key. The more you can keep the heat away from the sides of the tunnel and running boards, the better (for snow and ice buildup anyway). It makes a big difference in real-world riding weights. On the other hand, you can go too far (like the Slash cooler); overheating on the trail cuts into good riding time, and could damage or reduce the life of the engine. Although I prefer less weight, cooling is one place where I'll take a little more than I need over too little.

I'd never thought about the timing aspect of it... Put out a good sled, only with marginal cooling, during a spell of good winters, and everybody will love it; do the same during a winter like this, and all people will talk about is how you can't keep it cool.

yep and exacerbated by low snow park elevation. could be amazing conditions up high but can't get there.

What was there reason to go from 3, to 2 years of warranty for 2023 and 2024? Supply chain issues? 2 spring orders later and I'm guessing Doo has less warranty claims so it's better on their end. Probably making more money with people having to buy parts after year 2.

That’s unbelievable but not surprised- not just sleds seen emblems on $125k new trucks mounted noticeably uneven. Quality service/parts seem like a thing of the past. Hoping everything else on your new sled is right- enjoy your sled!

It’s because people keep buying them.

Doo did a good thing by offering the 3 year warranty on the door turbo, but that went away with the G5.
I personally think with this winter being the way it is, and snow check around the corner with inventory still at the dealer, something will have to be done to spark sales. These sleds are too expensive not have warranty like they once had. Tells me the manufacturer doesn’t have faith in their product.

Or they're confident they have a great product and don't need the 3 years. Who knows. I want to see 4 year warranty. Why not. Polaris did it for the 850 on the Axys chassis. Then they dropped a year on the NA sleds and only 2 years on the turbos.

Anyone know the exact date and time for the MY25 release yet?

With a new engine in the 23 turbo and higher HP? Very unlikely.

My bet is that cat is the only one that is going to have a stellar snowcheck. If they made it a 3 year warranty people would bitch and say why not 4. I think the best thing they could do is give a 1 year, for a cheaper price, and people could add 2, 3, or 4 for a price if they desire. Kind-of like cat in 20 when i got my alpha for $12 when my wife's expert was $15. Only had a 1 year on the cat and 3, i believe, on the doo.
