Have to disagree. Doo wasn't 3rd in the rev chassis. I used to even spank m1000. I thought they were a heavy pile. only seen one that i would say ran good. When cat came with m sled they were underpowered but you could do things in the trees the others wouldn't but most people didn't know. They still clung to their mountain bars. It wasn't until 9 to 11 that i thought they had a legitimate sled.U will not agree with what I have to say, and that's OK. Ur opinion is not more valuable than mine and mine is not more valuable than urs. They're just opinions....
But ur statement makes it obvious that you are not familiar with all brands.
New riders don't know chit about sleds.
They have no clue as to which performs better or worse in which circumstances.
It's absolutely NOT just cat diehards that will purchase 2023 Cats.
A lot of people make their purchase decisions based solely on looks.
They will buy what they think looks the best/coolest.
Doo riders that want a better performing back country sled will look at Cat and Poo.
Poo riders that are tired of the engine issues they have had, will look at Cat.
You are obviously angry with Cat.
I don't know why and I don't care.
2003.5 - 2022, doo has been a distant 3rd place for backcountry riding. Cat and Poo have been swapping for first place.
2023 expert looks like it might get Doo back in to 2nd place!? For backcountry riding. Definitely will not beat the Matryx but it might beat the Cat. The non-expert is still a distant 3rd place.

I was a skidoo boy till the Mseries came out.Have to disagree. Doo wasn't 3rd in the rev chassis. I used to even spank m1000. New doo will be awesome. Really hard to beat polaris's offering but that is preference. The new lynx will be the bomb with its suspension and 15 wide track and shallow approach. Not a fan of 16 wide. Alpha track shows there is more to the equation.
Wait for?....... The 15th or......sometime in the 22-23 riding season?Just wait...........
I'll disagree again. Had a 09m8 and 11 pro at same time. They would both do the same stuff. It was just easier on the pro. Everyone sees things differently. That is just how i seen them.I was a skidoo boy till the Mseries came out.
I couldn't keep up with an M7 with my 06 rev. I was jealous what I seen people doing with their little M7s.
Hill climbing, skidoo would win, but backcountry riding wasn't even close. Mseries was king. Rev was great down the trail and straight uphill climbing. Suspension was miles ahead of Cat. But those 2 points were not my concern. Backcountry riding is what I am into.
People will disagree with me on this, but the 09-11 M8 was better than the pro. 2011-2015.
I rode with mostly Pro's and the M8 was better in every aspect except super steep sidehilling. 50° +.

The "problems" likely consist of getting the necessary budget to do what they want. Its hard to get over the fact that Cat has had patent submissions for years for a boosted sled with the current chassis yet still are sitting on it. Like what problems are the engineers unable to overcome to get it to market?

They were trying to make a belt drive before 2013 and couldn't get it to last. I assume the bean counters were they primary stopping force to that along with the current turbo. Its hard to get over the fact that Cat has had patent submissions for years for a boosted sled with the current chassis yet still are sitting on it.
