2015/16 Snowy Range snow conditions

Rode last weekend and its darn tracked up. You can manage to find some stuff but have to look real hard. Nice thing it was a bright sunshiny day and you could see for miles. Even a bad day of snow is still a good day to ride if the sun is shining!

Have been hearing of a chance of snow at the end of the week. Hopefully it will increase in size. Heading that way on Saturday.

Looking for someone to ride with

Anyone riding Sunday 17th or Monday 18th?

I live on the west side, average rider

- prefer trees & creeks, not much for meadows or highmarking, know the mtn very well, and have avi gear/training.

I'm not a Di ck or hothead just like to ride...

Pm me if you don't mind me tagging along

-Ben

Heading out there in 1 week with 4 buddies who haven't been our that way before, it's been a couple of years since I've been out was wondering if you still needed to buy a parking pass like in previous year's. Can't wait couldn't ride all last year and I have a major mountain itch that needs to be scratched.:face-icon-small-hap

The Albany lot is the only one that is a fee area. There is a self serv box in the lot for $5 per day. If you plan you park there more than 5 days a year you can pick up an annual pass at the Forest Service office in Laramie for $25 (this pass is also good for day use in the summer for fee areas).

If you ride out of Albany and park in the forest service lot you will have to pay for a pass. If you ride from Green Rock on Centennial side, no pass is needed. Have fun and make sure to bring all of your avy gear!

Ben, I must be a pretty crappy rider if you are 'average'. :face-icon-small-hap

Thanks for the info. As far as avy gear goes, shovel probe beacon and COMMON SENSE are all packed and ready to go.
