Just talked to one of my riding buddies who is in centennial and he said they were riding in about 3 feet of fresh POW. Well, mostly stuck in 3 feet of fresh POW. Were heading out tomorrow.

Hope to see loads of people out there.

Hey guys, heading out to 10 mile this coming weekend, just was wondering how the condition are looking? 22 hr drive out, so any info would be greatly appreciated.

Follow the Albany Lodge on Facebook and you will see lots of pics of the crazy deep powder! Pic below was posted yesterday.

:face-icon-small-blu Sunday was definitely an over the hood powder day all day. Wind was blowing in the morning going over the gap but visibility was still such that we didn't think too much about going over. Guess we should of known something was going on was dropped back into the area's we normally ride where we only see a few people and tracks, never saw either until later in the afternoon when we got over closer to the warming hut and then only tracks but nobody around.

As we headed back to the gap from the warming hut area the wind/visibility just kept getting worse and worse.:face-icon-small-sho. Crossing the gap was a real treat (not) but conditions then really went bad. Visibility of 20 feet or less a lot of the time.

While normally from the warming hut to the trucks only takes us about 30 minutes, I think it was closer to 2 hours for us to pick our way back. We all know the area pretty good but I was very happy that our leader really knows the area and was able to pick our path back out.

We saw SAR heading in and knew something was up. I could see how someone could have gotten lost/confused/ or worse. Hope they found the last ones today safe and sound. Hope they were carrying what they needed to spend the night as it was definitely miserable conditions.

On the bright side the riding was just awesome all day on the back side!!!!!

Deep really deep today.
West side never made it above 9500 ft

We only saw the chopper pass by once. Hope the found them, it was deep enough that moderate slopes were a challenge. I can't image if a person dropped into a bad spot improperly prepared (not saying the missing people were,)

Crazy how a storm forecast to drop 18" on the high side delivered 3'+
this storm brought us up to where we should be.

Hopefully it doesn't get to warm this week and the snow stays light.

That's one crazy balaclava on that guy!

You riding with some fugitives Owen!!??

I don't know how many groups are missing. A FB X Post it sounded like a family missing from Cheyenne. What I read the dad was found but not mom and son. They are looking for help.

Headed home from Centennial. 3-4 feet of new powder everywhere we went all weekend. Did make it interesting for the new guys with us. Hope it keeps it up headed back in a couple weeks.

Last report I heard as we left Monday night was the dad had been found, wife & son haven't been found. S&R called in due to weather conditions. Saying a prayer and hoping their found.

We are heading up to ride today. We will keep our eyes out for this lost mom and son. Sad deal when anyone has to go through that experience. Hopefully they are snow savy and holed up somewhere.

Wow terrible news on the mom and son. If they got down into a tight spot before that storm it would be darn near impossible to get back out.

Ugh, that's a long time up there............

You're not kidding - as has been mentioned, Saturday was totally miserable. I sure am hoping they are still managing up there. It sounds like SAR has a plan of action, more reinforcements and a vicinity to search. Crossing my fingers they find them quick this morning.
