Your going to need more sled.:face-icon-small-win

Just kidding, The snow depth is great the powder just doesn't last too long with the warm temps lately. Just watch what Dan posts he is the one on here with all the time to play.:face-icon-small-coo

Dan,

We will be out there on Sunday March 16th for our 2nd trip this year. Hopefully we'll be bringing the snow with us again like we did at the end of January. Hope to run into you again.

The group will be smaller this time. One '14 Black Pro, 2 ugly '13 orange summits :), and one 09 blue/white summit. I know, I'm riding with a bunch of knuckleheads. At least we left the Cat guy at home this time :)

Let it snow!

Sunshine and windy today, worked on sleds so I didn't head up the hill. Tomorrow looks the same, but since -7c(snow gods seem to like him) is coming from Chicago it appears Saturday has pretty good chance of some new. After that, who knows:noidea: it's a crapshoot that far out.

Out from Iowa - lots of fresh today - snowed hard most of the morning. Afternoon snow showers on and off. We rode bumper deep day all day. Rode north area - did not see a sled or a track all day. Powder was soft and fluffy - by mid-day setup pretty good and sticky. Pretty great conditions overall. One more day tomorrow then back to flatland USA!!!

Also a big shout-out to Branden at Shively Hardware (Polaris Dealer in Saratoga). Many thanks for quickly fixing up the 900 RMK that had clutch issues. Thanks for making it rip today!!!! Super nice people - excellent service and very reasonable shop rates.

Branden - thanks for doing what you do so us vacationers can enjoy our time off!!!

Great snow today! The wind was blowing a bit across the Libby flats area but our group found 2-3' fresh powder south of 130 just to the southeast of Libby and the west side had really good snow. By 1ish the snow was getting a little sticky but all in all...bluebird skies, fresh pow, great base...couldn't ask for more! Keep an eye out on the steeper slopes(Sugarloaf, Widowmaker, etc.) The wind is really starting to load the slopes up! Gotta love the big spring dumps:face-icon-small-hap

Dan, we made it out yesterday and it looks like we brought the snow with us again. Just saw this morning a winter weather advisory for Snowies and Madre with 7 to 11. Sorry we didn't bring more.

Went out for about 5 hours yesterday. Wow is the snow deep. With the warmer temps, it was tacky yesterday and that made for a bunch of stucks but we had a blast. We pretty much hung around MC all day and found endless fun and shoveling, lol. Gonna head up top today and tomorrow.

Let it snow

Thinking of heading out this weekend. What is the weather look like for the weekend? How is the snow? Thinking there or Cooke city.

I see the pics just fine. Looks like you had fun. Bet it is great to be off the couch!

I am thinking about heading up on Friday as well and have no one to ride with. I will know for sure in a few days if I am 100% going!

Conditions from Weekend

Snow was pretty deep this weekend - couple pictures. Amazed - broke fresh tracks all day saturday - not a surprise since it kept snowing but all day Sunday as well.

Being from Iowa, if you are contemplating one more trip out, based on this last weekend and the forecast - go hit it.

Was one of our best years ever since we can't chase storms. Timing was pretty darn good this year. Enjoy everyone and be safe - already counting down to first trip next year!
