2012/13 Togwotee snow conditions

Trying to plan a trip out this weekend anyone know of some other places to stay besides tog mt lodge thats fairly close?

Twin pines Lodge in Dubois! Stayed there last time we rode Togowette, very nice places to stay, we stayed there for 67 dollars a night and had our own cabin with a shower and two beds! Also continental breakfast!

Togwotee Lodge questions, do they have free wi-fi and is the package including the food and drink worth the extra? We figured $ 70 extra per day each for the breakfast buffet, happy hour unlimited beer :face-icon-small-hap, and dinner. Thanks

I'd say stay home. Too many sleds here already. Lol

Leaving Saturday mid-day from east central Iowa, taking Hwy 20 to TML, had one guy bail out, could pick-up someone along the way. 641-751-0788

Yep free wifi.. I think the package is worth it, but coming from NY we don't really have much choice. The meals are decent but a bit pricey.. Buffet is 10-15 bucks, dinner is 15-20. I don't know what the drinks cost there but I'd figure another 15-20 if you have 3 or 4 drinks during happy hour. There's also usually free food to..
Just a reminder if you do use the package, while beer/mixed drinks are covered at happy hour, they ARE NOT at dinner.

Just got back. The snow wasnt that bad but some places where tracked up. If you can find spots that no one has been to it is pretty decent snow.

Today is our last day out here. If you know the area really well you can find places to ride. If not it is completely mashed up and the snow is totally set up. If you're farther than 3-4 hours away it's probably not worth it. It was insanely busy here over the weekend.

Last day for us as well .....

Give you all a little hint ..We spent close to 3 Hours Behind TML on the I trail playing in Powder all day ... we left a bunch untouched back there :-)
Also saw 2 Moose just off the V trail today ....The CD trail from TML to the X is pretty Beat up ...We just went cross country thats more fun anyways

Is it better down at crooked creek we are suppose to leave Tuesday am from home 16 hour drive to get there have guide lined up or should we stay home thanks

We were up last weekend. Stayed at line shack. Snow was 3x better at the summit of tog than around cc or line shack.

Was riding Tog last week. It was as busy as I have ever seen it there. The snow was a little based up, but the guides (hooray to Noah and Brent!) showed us a great ride every day. A group of idiots was trying to help us loose more riding area by riding the back side of Angle (off limits to sleds) and got stuck. Had to get choppered out. It's dumb ****s like this that paint a bad wrap for the rest of us. Frusterating. Anyway, we had a great time up there as always.

Sled Rentals in Dubois???

Just a couple questions: We are staying in Dubois, is there anyone that rents sleds in Dubois? I have heard that if you are not a guest at any of the lodges you cannot rent from them? Maybe rumor but just trying to clarify this.... still wondering why I sold my sled..... :face-icon-small-sad. Thanks!!!

I dont think anyone rents sleds out of dubois but i could be wrong, togwotee mountain lodge rents sleds to everyone, not just their guests.

Sleds

There's a few places up on Union Pass that rent sleds too. At Crooked Creek you don't have to return them every night either.
