2012/13 Snowy Range snow conditions

We want to come out this weekend to ride the Snowies one day and the Madres another. Where would you suggest staying that would have decent food, gas, etc.. We will be trailering so it does not need to be on either trails. Where do people like to stay if they plan to ride both ranges in one trip? We would appreciate your advise.

I'd say 10 Mile Inn on the Saratoga side of the Snowies. You can ride right from there, gas, food and drink are handy. From there you're maybe a 30 to 40 minute trailer to the Madres.

we set off a couple slides in the Madres last week and I was caught up in one of them.

be careful out there guys! even the small hills can and will go.

good luck!

Agreed! You definitely want to stay at the Ten Mile Inn! Ken and Kimberly are very accommodating! Tell them Jack from Minnesota sent you:face-icon-small-ton

Well its finally official..... Got the trip planned from March 20th-24th! Coming out from Iowa with Zeke and the boys from Storm Lake. Anyone else on here from around the area also attending that trip? If not and would like to either just get a hold of Zeke or let me know and I can get a hold of him and get you more info. For you locals out there any looks at an extended forecast.....? I know its pry kinda hard that far out. I just want good POW while we are there that is all I ask, now I don't think that's too much is it!? HAHA

Any fresh snow out of this last snow that came through Wyoming? Headed to Centennial Wednesday.

Pretty much from dec through april we dont really worry about whether there is snow in the rocky mountains.. we seem to always find good snow and good times somewhere on the mountain.

So did they get much for snow out the storm that was suppose to hit sunday, monday, tuesday???

We were up on Monday, it was sunny and in the mid 20s. New snow was maybe 6"s on top of a fairly hard base. This was toward Sand Lake, I believe the farther west you'd go it got better.
It snowed yesterday, but we drove into Laramie and it definitely snowed harder in town than out here.
S'posed to go up a little later this morn, hopefully it's hood deep, but I doubt it.:D

Looking for a rental on the west side. Staying with some friends and one of them wants to ride with me. I am aware of Saratoga Resort but is there any place else? Any ideas would be great. Thanks!

Sunshine all of yesterday, same this morn. Snow that came in on Tuesday was about 6"s. Not epic by any stretch of the imagination, but you can find fun stuff.
