Luggage

Picked up luggage for 3 at Burgess Jct at 0930 this morning....luggage for 2 at Crystal Creek Rest Stop this afternoon and luggage for 5 at Crystal Creek Rest Stop at 1030 tonight.....my sled and I are tired....the good thing is I got to use my sled and play/float across snow instead of staying on trails...this is a fun job.

No snow yet.......

Lodge Rating

Last summer this lodge had some issues and bad reviews, a bad reputation and sat empty quite a lot. Since August of 2012 we have been slowly building a good reputation, gotten a few more people to come in and stay and have been getting great reviews. In fact, we have just been rated #1 of 4 speciality hotels in Lovell, WY!!!!!!

We stoped in for some chili last weekend. What a great spot.

I'm in the apartment rental business. The people you have problems or conflicts with are the ones that post reviews. The folk that have a good experence never seem to find the time to post a review. Could you post the web sites that would help your review numbers. I would sure post a good review.

Exept for the guy that hung his dripping wet bibs over my gloves by your fireplace. He's getting a bad review.

snow

Snow has been coming down for a couple hours now...off and on all day...3 inches so far....

Just Booked w/ Corey at WHC for next weekend, Thanks Corey.
Anybody staying up at WHC next weekend, my son and I wouldn't mind jumping in to ride.
i know the area and neither of us would slow you up, unless you're trail riding.:face-icon-small-win

Just got back from riding. Unloaded at Bear and headed North then west. Real tracked up close to Bear was able to find some places to get stuck and for sleds to dislodge their riders though. Ended up at High Country for lunch. Good Burger and pie. Headed back to Bear via 14A and played south of the highway in the trees and towards Bald. Found some pretty decent snow with only a few tracks. Snow really started coming down at around 2 p.m. if it keeps up all night tomorrows riders will have fun

Update at lodge

Been snowing most of night...5 more inches.....8" now...a little heavier stuff and still coming down. Going to Burgess Jct to pick up guests and luggage this morning...will report about snow over that way later today. Met nice snowesters' yesterday here at the lodge and then 1 found me at Burgess Jct...nice people, all of them. Stop in and introduce yourself if you get this way. Starting breakfast for 27 people...72 eggs...5lbs bacon...3 loaves of bread....:face-icon-small-sho

Snow

Just got back from Burgess Jct....about 8 inches over there too. White out on south H trail earlier and when I had visibility it was 10 yards or so. Winds are howling, sun is out. Drifts in highway were 2-3 ft in areas. (Only bounced off road once) Should have taken my sled instead of the lodge short track to pick up luggage.

Good stuff! I'm glad to be a member again and reading this thread! I'll be coming out next saturday till thursday and will be swinging by high country.

Anyone have any info about the southern bighorns? Have they been getting snow also? How tracked up is it? Any info would be great. Thanks

Headed up Friday night and stayed at our cabin. Rode Saturday morning, going from Deer Haven back towards Battle Park, pretty tracked up in the meadows off the trail but if you head off trail and look there is still good snow to be found. Was not able to get a full day in due to one of the sleds in our group running horrible. Still good enough snow to make me want to stay at the cabin next weekend especially with the forecast calling for snow almost everyday. On a side note, with the broken sled and having to head back slow on the trail, I wanted to make it somewhat exciting. I found out that the 13' XM is a one ski riding monster, the 15 miles back to the cabin at 30 mph couldn't have been more fun!

Hey, considering going with a group that is staying at Deer Haven next week. What kind of riding is around there? Do you have to trail ride a long ways to get to the good stuff? Any word on current conditions? Thanks!
