8 of us just rode out of greenrock this last friday and saturday.
flyin's report is pretty accurate.
Don't even bother with U on the south side.......it's bad. We came back to greenrock along U from the west on saturday and it's not worth it in that area.
Take O north and around and west if riding from greenrock. Don't get off the trail til your atleast near the rollercoaster. Some decent snow can be found starting in that area, and it gets better the farther west and north you go. The north face west of the rollercoaster had some decent snow in the trees and was all pretty rideable.
north and or west from quealy warming hut will be your best bet.
For the flatlanders........i'd explain it as like riding in "good" midwest snow i guess, once you get to it. around of foot of heavy powder was found, and alot of wind blown with some crusting in places. Still lots of rocks and stumps. Trails getting to it were poor, but I still had a great time.
I don't know what to tell you if you're riding out of Albany without more snow. Spoke to a local that said trail snow conditions around Albany were good up to medicine bow lodge (Q i think?) but no clue other than that.
French creek area did look decent on our way back along U, but it was getting late.
