Just got home for Tog. Had a wonderful 4 days of riding. Found lots of untracked snow on Friday. Stayed in Dubois at the Longhorn Ranch. Great place!!

I know this is a long shot question. What is the snow on average like in the middle to end of march at togwotee?j This will be our first trip ever out there, we are staying at lava mountain lodge. How far of a drive is it to trailer up to togwotee lodge? we have two guys with us that are renting sleds from the lodge.

Togwotee area

You can ride the road ditch up from Lava. The snow is amazing right now. I have been riding Togwotee for 8 years....this is the best snow I have seen. Yesterday it got a little warm. We triggered a slide, no one was caught in it. Woke up this morning and bam another foot of powder!!! The conditions are VERY GOOD.

We are going to be riding out of Togwotee lodge area. Does anyone have a map that shows some of the good riding areas? We don't really want to pay $400-500 for a guide for one day.

where are you coming from we have a group thats are staying at the lava mountain lodge as well ( the big house) havent rode there for 6 years but always had a good time on that range

Rode tog sunday. Weather was great and the snow as well. Snow was fairly set up it the open areas but it wasnt hard to find pockets of 2 feet of fresh. Overall the snow was great for end of march. Pretty wind blown packed but no complaints here.

Roof gone!?

Has anyone seen the roof at togwottee lodge? Just looked at the webcam and the entry fell in!! Hope mobody was hurt

Earlier today, I saw a front end loader with it's bucket on the roof, looks like they were trying to remove snow from the roof, may have had a Whoops, or is it a planned remodel?

Rode saturday in a blizzard, might be riding in July, or August, up there.

Lots of snow yet.

Can't believe how much snow they still have and it's still snowing. Just checked Snotel and Tog station shows 117" on the ground.
Unreal and makes me want to make another trip. Just imagine, nobody is there riding, so there's not a single track anywhere.
It's sad, all that snow going to waste.

The snow has got to be piling up out there. Every time I punch up the radar over the past few days it's always snowing pretty good. How long can you backcountry ride out there?
