2010/11 Snow conditions Snowy Range

My dad and I took some supplies up to the cabin today and did a few hours of snow removal from the recent storms. We did not get any off trail riding in, but based on the snow around the cabin there should be good powder off trail. Breaking trail down the driveway the snow was not quite bumper deep. It was very windy today. I'll try to post off trail pics later this week, but the best I can do right now is pictures from today getting the turbo (diesel) unstuck.

Yeah - we on my parents sleds today - I was riding the black Nytro pulling the toboggan, dad was on the Vector pulling a toboggan as well. I saw two Doo Freerides when we went by the lodge. I was wondering if you were on one of them

My parents are heading back up tomorrow - we'll be up on Wednesday and I'll be on my red Apex. Are you guys riding all week?

No we headed out last night, buddy with the stolen sleds needed to get back and track somethings down. We'll be back in 2 weeks

snow looks awesome!!!!! I've got a group of 12 coming out the 6th through the 9th. staying at the two dog chalet.

I just noticed on the Snotel for the Madres that they show 12" of new snow TODAY!!
The forecast calls for another 12" by Thursday pm..
The snowies have not got the cloud cover yet but it's coming.

Temps are to dip big time.
Thurs. high 15
Fri. high -5
Sat. high 5

Avalanche danger should be at moderate to high

Watch for the wind to pick up and then the avy. danger to become extreme..
Be careful and take your time on the hills
