2010/11 Big Horns North/South snow conditions

We rode the topside 1st day but wind and snow chased us out. So the last two days we stayed down and played off Trail P. EPIC snow... over your hood in your face right down trail P. No one had touched it. HIGHLY suggest this ride, you WONT be disappointed. No short tracks, you wont make it. Will post photos and videos Monday. It's a workout, but now I can honestly say I have experienced what they ride in in the sled movies. UNBELIEVABLE!

yeah they need some snow out here, warm temps and high winds really set the snow up, found some decent powder but nothing special.

Saturday was exactly what diggler said, but they do have about the most base I ever seen at least up around High Country area. Need more snow and next week don't look so good for new snow.:face-icon-small-fro

We'll be getting out Monday morning. Forecast looks alright. Just wondering if anyone has a recent report.

Like everybody else has said the snow is very hard and wind blown. The best snow we found was south of snowshoe easily 3-4 foot of powder you had to look for it but it was unbelievable

Rode the last 4 days out of Bear. Rode North 2 days, tough wind blown snow. Last 2 days rode east and south and found great snow. Thanks to Bear Lodge for great food, lodging and Guide Bruce for another fun year. Plan's set already for next year. Thank's again to Bear for another great year!:face-icon-small-coo

spent the last 4 days out the rode south of elk view, headed east of granite pass and through the trees found really good untouched powder, really had to look for it but it can be found.

Is it worth coming out for a 8 hour drive? or just head to west yellowstone to the expo?

I know when we took off last night they were talking about some chances of good storms coming through all week, and it was snowing when we left.

Dont know who all stills rides the south end, but a buddy of mine went up today and said there was a foot or more of pow! Thats good news, wish i would of went instead of sitting on the ice freezing my a$$ off... but in relation to the north end, i would expect the same amount if not more should be good riding!

Headed up Thurs. 10th. Snow in the forcast. Hopin'!
Staying at Elkview, 4 in party, if a couple more want to ride along, hit me up.
