Sled solution!

did u put a spell on my sled skiwiz? just got it back from the shop , took it for a spin and now the trip odometer ,dash break light dont work... u know how to work on skidoo electrical wiz?

Wire it to 220 volts and charge it till it burst into flames-headache gone -call Roy with credit card #~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Ok give me a tough ?:beer;

tog, how far do you venture from cb? I'm 20 miles east. I'm sore as a sob, the drifts are pretty rough. the snow was awesome before the wind blew. At least I got a tank of fuel through the sled before it makes its home out west, for the rest of the winter.:beer;

I rode mostly in town and in the hills by the airport where my parents live. I'm taking the sled to the Snowies tomorrow where it will stay still spring. But I did put 30 miles :face-icon-small-hap

tog give me a call I might be headed to Denver this weekend to sell and pickup a new sled, need to find more riding partners.

Snowies Update...

I just talked to two riders in a parking lot that just came back from the Snowies. They rode out of Greenrock this morning and went all the way across 130..., said "it ain't worth it". They managed to avoid any major damage off-trail but a lot more snow is needed before they'll go back. These were 2 Cat riders that had some nicely modded sleds, so they seemed to know the deal.

They also rode Bull Mtn yesterday (North of Gould, CO) and said there was more snow up there but "almost zero base". That's how they ended up at the Snowies today.

Hmmmm, interesting. I rode out of Greenrock this morning also. 130 was of course beat down and wind blown but out in the trees the snow was good. Pretty much hero snow on the climbs and you could certainly hit rocks if you weren't careful.
The big meadows were windblown and set up, but like I said in the trees it wasn't bad at all. I was breaking in a new top end so I didn't venture out too far off trail.

We are planning a trip to the snowies this week Friday Dec 18th and planning to ride the 18th and 19th. We are driving 8 hours from the Omaha area. How are the current conditions and snow amounts? Are the snow conditions worth driving that far right now? The latest posts are making me wonder. We usually wait and come out the first week in January, but some of the guys that are coming with have different plans that unables us to come out until late January if we do not come out now.

Does anyone have some pictures from this weekend?

Would it be better to drive and stay on the west side?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Tog is on his way back now, said they found some decent snow today. I'm sure he'll post more detail when he gets back.

Just got back from Snowies. Snow was nice and deep in trees. Everything on West side was good. We rode three days in untracked snow everywhere, it was over the hood all day. I would turn around today and go back.

Snow sucked kept getting up on my hood and the seat:) Played in the trees, nice and deep and no wind.

Took a quick half day ride today and the snow was better than expected. Deep and soft but still no base. Probably 8" fresh overnight but we rode untracked powder all day. Trees and rocks still jumping out.

Left and it was snowing very hard.
