Looking for someone to ride with this weekend 13th &14th. Staying at Elk View Inn. Hoping to follow someone who knows the area. Thanks.

fyi theft alert

dont leave your dead sled unattended in the horns. buddy left his dead rental after the a arm broke. when we returned with the bear tow dolly we found that the secondary was gone.
also be sure if you rent that you check the machine out personally before you leave the shop. that arm broke out of nowhere on smooth open hard snow 10 minutes into the ride. just got off the path out of the trees about 100 yards.
and the snow sucked everywhere i went sun but its supposed to snow so its anybodys guess

Hope to be coming down there on the 19th. Think there will be any snow left? It's going to be more so trail riding as it is my little brothers first snowmobile trip. Just wandering how the trails will be? I most likely will split up and play in the trees if i find a little snow.

The trails North and West of BearLodge are excellent, but you got to look for good playing snow.

No "big dump" yet but it's holding it's own, if you get into the trees you can find some un-tracked snow...but honestly not much. Short vid from Saturday.

From Friday at BearLodge, The snow is there you need to look for it.

thats the same position i saw that camo sled saturday must be a regular thing :face-icon-small-shoand yes there is still snow to ride

If i can't find anyplace to ride in Island Park, we may leave there a few days early and the plan is to stop in the bighorns for a few days. I've never rode there before, just drove through... I think we would be staying at Bear and i'm just wondering if we would there is gas there, and how far out from there do ya gotta go for the "good" riding... I'm not expecting anything great, just want to ride!

Just got back from riding near Burgess Junction. Warm weather and no recent snow made for less than ideal conditions but we found untracked deep snow, especially near the trees. Little snow left going west from Bear. BTW, this is the 4th year we've stayed at Elk View Inn (formerly The Passage). Service, food and our rooms were much better than prior years. The owners of Bear have made big improvments. We'll be back next year!

more snow??

National weather service calling for 6-10 inches thursday-friday. they haven't gotten it right yet this year, but we could sure use it!:beer;

Rode yesterday 3-20, little new snow

and there is still snow in the trees but it's getting thinner by the day, we are going to need some big spring dumps to make up for the rest of the year or it's going to be a short riding season for us.
