2009/10 Big Horns North/South snow conditions

Horns 5/2/10

Rode yesterday 5/2 from the Lovell side, didn't see another rig or sled the entire day, had the mountain and all that pow all to ourselves. It was some of the best riding I've ever had in the horns, no matter the time of year. The base is perfect right now and there was 2+ feet in most places, just an incredible day of riding.

My dad called Saturday night to do the same thing, he had a blast, not a soul to be seen. Stupid job, I hate being so far away and having to miss all the good storms.

Todd..... I hate you:yell:

I begged and pleaded to get someone to load up and head out.. This weekend is mothers days... ohhhh boy, how much trouble can I get myself in..

If anyone is looking for a riding partner or another to join there group i am ALMOST ALWAYS down. If its a good storm i will ALWAYS be ready. So whos wanting to go up. I had my sleds put away but just filled up 2 more bottles of noss for one more good ride. Lets do it.

Justin...don't be hater:face-icon-small-hap

Supposed to snow another foot or so this week...we'll see, might have to take them out one more time.

whats the temps bean like, is it settling fast? Thinking about heading out there friday, long drive for us from minnesota hope it's worth it. Thanks for the updates.

NOAA is forecasting snow all week with 8 inches Wednesday night, 15-16" total.

I don't think I can come on here anymore just gets too depressing, I have to go to Springfield, MO for a wedding now that the 'horns finally are getting hit. I miss living back in Lovell, just pop up the mountain for an afternoon ride whenever I felt like it. Anyways, have fun boys, be safe, and carve up a few meadows for me Todd.

I would be up there in a heart beat but I got to go to prom!! I should go up in the morning and come back at like 2 or 3:face-icon-small-fro

Rode again today and...

snow is off the hook for May...my gawd it's been 2 of the best riding day's. Another foot of fresh on top of the 2 feet last weekend. Snowed again all day today while riding, it's just unreal for May. The base is setup up and no "sugar" and it's just great riding right now. Snotel is at 60+ which is the highest it's been all year. Just took a couple of pics.

Like RYDPWDR said....off the hook! Thursday was insane and Friday was still unreal for May. It's setting up pretty fast today but still snow piled up everywhere. Should be some good spring riding for a while yet. I'll post some pics when I get home.
