weather is saying around 32 for the next few days then getting colder and more snow, christmas should be a good weekend

West Mountain riding is wet and heavy. The trail is not groomed with a single lane track. When getting off trail be ready to sink or swim.

There was an avalanche near Rock Lake (West Mountain) today. Two riders were involved and one made it out. Becareful up there. This base is not set yet. Watch the bowls and cornices above you.

storm sometime next week?

and by lower twin i'm actually talking about the lower twin lake (most people think the upper lake is the one with the big chutes, its not that is a meadow/rock field) , one with no hill climbs just tight tree lines on a south facing slope, that never gets any sun ever

Smiths Ferry

Rode today up to Tripod, the snow is very wet and heavy so be prepared to do alot of digging. The parking lot was not cleaned yet, I talked to some of the locals and they got the ok this morning to start grooming and cleaning. So please be safe and watch out for stumps!!

Rode today and thurs out of upper brundage. Heavy snow, takes alot of pwr! Still hitting stumps and rocks. When visibility is good, I recommend you avoid even the small humps. Needs more snow to cover alot of the dead fall that I usually can go over in an area, and didn't even know it was there.

Well I measured from the dirt yesterday. NE slope 7k+ and we're working with 4'7" so things are a little thin still. By my math some would have you beleive that there is 7'-8' in places but that is...

pics from today...

about 6+ feet...coverage was great where we were...looks like we shoulb be getting another foot+ by tuesday...should be good when the some comes out..

sunday afternoon ride

We were out sunday between 2-5 pm. rode just above association cabins. the snow was heavy but fun. It snowed all the way back to the truck. the trail is pretty rough. will be out again today.

When will the grooming start for the McCall/Donnelly/Cascade area? Hopefully soon... the trails were getting rough.

Valley County has a new person "managing" the groomer program. Hope we aren't back to the old list of excuses-Not enough snow, too much snow, etc.

This year we are going to have a teaser/preview of each months footage we captured...so here is the first one...we finally got some snow in McCall to start filming, and also made a trip to Revelstoke B.C.

Look out for next months!!!
