XP evaluation vs. M8

the hcr is a beast unto its own... And yes they do stomp stock xps...

Good and imformative response. Can you please give us some details. Did you test both sleds in the same conditions? Were they both stock setups? Are you just a fanboy to Arctic Cat?

Didnt read all the posts, went riden this last weekend with a 08 XP 154 with a SLP head and single pipe and can. Also there was a 09 D 8 Stock , 155 track. And a 09 M8 153 bone stock with 0 miles on it. All three blasted up the same grade at the same time...the D8 and XP were close to each other, the M8 was quite a bit a head of them. And went further up the hill than the Doo or Poo. This was repeted three times with the same results. Love my 04 Rev but if I was to purchase new it would have to be the Cat. Rode the Cat , it would take some time to get the feel for it, but so it would for any of them. Dino

who cares about all this debate? buy what you feel comfortable on. both chassis have ups and downs. if you dont like something about your current sled thats what the aftermarket is for.

Who cares, the XP, Dragon, and M8's are all nice stock sleds.

I could have taken a hundred pictures of a buried 09 HCR, 09 XP, and an 08 Dragon with my 02 Summit above them this year. Same ol story, buzz up through the trees stop, wait, turn around, tug, pull go again. Hmmm my 02 must me a vastly superior sled then.

if your 02 summit is above them then you most defiantley need to find some new riding partners!!!! your 02 wouldn't make it to where the pic was taken...

There is not that much fresh snow in those pics. It's all about the rider and how well he knows his sled, especially in the technical stuff. I ride with a buddy that rides a 02 800 cat, he could ride circles around most of us on his 02 sled.

That only works cause you're from BC. If you're from the states you need next year's model WITH a turbo, 300hp, 174" track, and a 42' enclosed trailer with heat, A/C and onboard petting zoo just to get out of the parking lot.

Ya, I said it ;)
