Wolf hunt would be kinda fun.

I cannot grasp the idea of "re-introducing" them anywhere.
What is the thought process there?

Looks like they knew he was there?? That would have goose bumps on top of goose bumps on top of hair standing on end if it were me.

Unfortunately it is a circle of life. The viciousness of the "kill" is what makes most hate them so much. Usually they are already feasting on the backend before the critter has expired. Up here in northern BC right now there is an epidemic of wolves in the surrounding area and it has all the cattle farmers in frenzy. Ironically we have an epidemic of herds of elk right now too. The same farmers are in a frenzy ove this also and get grants to wildlife fence their hay yards. I believe wild animals are protected in Yelowstone? No Hunting, must be a chitload of the buggers around? Tons of motorvehicle/wildlife accidents. A few years and they will send "special forces" in and cull the wolf packs.........

ive seen a pack of wolves go into a heard of elk, take a one down and eat the rear quarters and then just go get another one while the half eaten elk is still alive

i'll shoot every one i see this year when i'm out hunting.

The is nothing natural about it. They weren't here to begin with. Why don't we release lions here. Or maybe sharks in the lakes an pirranas in the river.

there might be hope for you yet Sawyer:face-icon-small-win:beer;

the black wolf pelt looks awesome, i witnessed 7 magpies attack a robin, i hate magpie's.

As I understand it....the problem with those wolves in the reintro program from 1995....they are NOT Timberwolves...they are much larger Canadian Wolves.

Not the same capabilities. Much bigger and better hunters of big game. Once again, they intro'd a non-native species.

There have been documented cases of wintering elk herds in Idaho that have been totally decimated by wolf packs. It has been proven time and time again that they do not cull the weak and or lame, but instead are capable nearly destroying entire herds, especially in the winter. I don't quite understand who is pushing and leading the wolf reintroduction agenda. I don't believe it's at the state level. It would be nice to see a few of the state level game managers stand up and fight, but I'm not sure anyone at that level has any balls.
