Wolf Creek

Did you get your front end fixed right away out there?

South Fork?
Alamosa?
Pagosa?

.

Rode WC yesterday and am going again today. I have never ridden here before and we founds all kinds of untracked areas. The snow is less than ideal, quite crusty in most places. On the north side of the trees and in the trees it is sugary and not alot of base but very deep. I was very happy with what we found. Not all tracked up as some have said, just need to look for it. Wish I knew all the secret areas as there has to be tons of it. Can't wait to ride this area after a 2' storm. Tremendous day riding with good friends, not whing about lack of snow. Tbaugha pics above say it all, we found similar stuff to play in.

AC dealer in South Fork had lots of A-arms in stock so I put new A-arms on and ran some ryde-fx shocks from a Polaris for the last 2 days. Didn't miss a day of riding due to having a back-up sled and fixing my own. On a side note, the dealer in South Fork was really cool and I highly recommend them for anyone in need of parts or service.

God dang man...you guys look like you are touch on equipment;)

We saw the sled at Ute Bluff Lodge...we had the large 5 place grey/black trailer hooked to a white duramax with some striping down the side. Sled looked pretty rough when we saw it;)

Glad you guys had fun!!

PRAY FOR MORE SNOW!!!!

You have to be careful at WC because of all the Wilderness areas. Often times those untracked areas that call out to you are in the wilderness. Our group got stopped by FS and BLM cops that were riding pro-rmk's. We were not in the wilderness but even they didnt know that.

Every single one of the 8 of us had broken at least some plastics during that week. 4 a-arms broken, a few bent a arms, tons of broken side panels, belly pans, hoods, bent bulkhead, bent shock, etc etc haha. We came prepared though and only one of us lost only one day of riding.

We checked the maps and were pretty sure we were not in the wilderness areas. A few days we came across some of the boys from the Boondockers movies and another group of turboed IQ's. There were others riding the areas but only a few.

I was with the group and had my 2011 Pro Rmk break down on me. There is an electrical problems somewhere on it.

I took it too the dealer in Alamosa to try and fix it and not lose any days riding. They were not able to figure out the problem in the short amount of time I had it there, but those guys tired. They were trying everything they could to get me back on my trip. By far the friendliest Polaris technicians and willingness to help.

We took it back to the lodge later than evening and did lots of parts swapping with a '12 Pro and found the problem. I contacted the Polaris dealer down in Pagosa Springs and what a 180 from Alamosa. I told him what the problem was, and what parts I needed to fix it. The dealer in Alamosa pulled parts from showroom sleds with no cost for me. The dealer in Pagosa Springs wanted to charge me for that, plus shipping, plus charge polaris for warranty. I knew it would be a hassle dealing with them, so I rode the back up sled the rest of the time. So... If anyone has problems with their Polaris, I recommend Alamosa first.

Highly recommend

x2 on marks outdoor sports in Alamosa. Been dealing with them for 16 years... Mark and his family always takes care of their customers!

Marks Outdoor Sports in Alamosa should be the model for all Polaris Dealers to follow. They are outstanding!

So they were WILLING to rob from Peter, but you didn't take them up on it?

(Just trying to make sence of the post is all...)

Mark's robbed parts from other sleds, just not enough robbing... With no expense to me.

Dealer in Pagosa would have robbed parts, but at a ridiculous expense to me out of my pocket plus charging Polaris for warranty and shipping on new parts at my cost. Was not worth it to try and deal with them since my buddy had a RMK for a backup sled that I was able to ride.

(I blame my confusing first post on DROID)

hows the snow holding up did you guys get that last shot the other day/night?
