Anyone with a silber kit going to be at Lolo on april 1st or 2nd? Im looking into the turbo pro and im torn between these 2 kits. Would LOVE to see them first hand and in action.

Timbre, I have been watching you bad mouth HM for two years and haven't said anything until now. You wanted Shane to give you some of his R&D information. He was more than happy to help you with your questions pertaining to someone else's kit. When you wanted specific information on some of his components (the helix) he wouldn't give it to you until he was sure you were one of his customers. I think he went above and beyond helping you as much as he did. For you to whine and cry for two years because he wouldn't give you information he worked long hours to obtain goes a long way to show just what kind of character you have, or lack in this case. Do everyone a favor and be man enough to stop your sniveling.

Everyone else, I have gotten to know Shane over the past three years and have spent countless hours in his shop. I find it difficult to get time to talk to him myself because he is contantly on the phone helping customers. Some of these customers are people calling for tuning tips on a competitor's kit (just like Timbre). It amazes me that he has the time and energy for everyone and it has been without exception. Don't buy into Timbre's warped distortions of the truth.

Now that’s funny! What I have posted about my bad customer service experience with HM Turbos is indeed true….sorry it is not what you hoped to hear. I believe it is important for people who are considering a purchase from them, to be aware of what happened to me….and I will continue to voice my opinion, just as you have. The negative rating you gave me for not agreeing with you was a bit silly too! But boys will be boys. 

I have not been “bashing HM Turbos for the last 2 years”! If that was my intention, I would have gone into detail, and it would have been abundantly clear why one should think twice before considering a purchase from them. I have only expressed my opinion/experience and left it at that.

I am not whining nor has my credibility been shot. We here on this forum have the privilege, and perhaps even an obligation, to share our experiences with others, and I will continue to do so! This is not about you, nor have I, up to this point, said a single negative word to or about you….yet you have chosen to bash me personally because I posted my experience. So, I am not sure it is in your best interest to talk about whining and credibility at this point…yes????

My opinion and experience stands as stated above.

Cheers!

When a customer like TIMBRE buys a kit from another manufacturer and calls us at Hm Turbos to help him tune it, I am willing to help anyone in the industry. You had backshift problems and tuning issues. I offered you a custom helix, gearing and other options to help you with your issues. Don't badmouth kit builders when they won't tell you their set ups over the phone without purchasing any parts!! Polaris engineers have great respect for what I do at Hm turbos with a racing background to back it up. Kit builders struggle every day to keep customers happy even if they are not running kits purchased from them. All of our customer at Hm Turbos can't say enough about our products and customer service. So make an effort to come to turbo days and show positive influence on the sport of building boosted sleds.

NOT TRUE! I bought a sled with a kit already on it. In fact, I thought it was your kit as it looked nearly the same as yours. Fortunately it was not!

I DID NOT have backshift problems, nor did I have tuning issues. I DID NOT need a custom helix or different gearing! What I DID have was bad reeds and a partially plugged fuel filter. There were also a few other minor issues that had NOTHING to do with the parts you were trying to sell me. Once I found a more humble person who would listen to me, and the symptoms I was having, it was actually quite easy for them to figure out….WITHOUT spending the hundreds of dollars you were wanting me to spend on your products. And . . . as it turns out, I did not need them anyway. So, I guess, in a way, your lack of information did me a big favor. So, for that I am grateful!

I DID NOT want to know your “setup”. I DID, however, want to know what parts I was buying and what it was supposed to do for me BEFORE spending several hundred dollars on them. I guess if that makes me a bad person, then so be it.

I am delighted that Polaris engineers have respect for you. I simply have not had the opportunity to develop any. Not to say that won’t happen in the future, but as for now, I simply have no basis for it…..sorry. In addition, I will continue to speak of my experience with HM Turbos in the future and hold out hope that one day it will be positive.

That being said, I do hope you have a great turn out at your turbo days event, and many happy customers as well.

Cheers!

Anyone that says Shane at HM isn’t customer conscious is on glue...or worse.

That is flat-out misinformation. TIMBRE, not knowing you or the situation, a phone call and an email would not allow anyone to fully diagnose a sled issue...if he got it wrong, maybe you shouldn’t have been a cheap bastard and actually taken it in to someone so they could see and hear it first hand.

Knocking a guy ‘cause he couldn’t fix your sled over the phone is absurd.

Secondly, I have also heard GREAT things about Silber and their customer service.

Maybe you need to get in your truck and go see these guys before you bash them on this forum, when anyone on here that has actually done business with these guys and bought their products have nothing but great things to say.

Was at Shanes gig in lolo saturday and had heard some of that bs before. Untill you meet someone in person you never know. Imo Shane was first class and a great host. He tuned on LongGolds sled untill satisfied and at 6lbs that sled rocked. We left tacoma,wa at 5:30pm to get there and was well worth the trip. Boost is addictive.

Funny stuff there! I can assure you i am not on glue or anything worse...lol I have always spoken from my experience, and you have spoken from your experience. That is the way it is supposed to be...right?!

There was multiple calls and multiple emails. If you "do not know me or the situation", why bother to personally attack me then?? Seems a bit odd. For the record...I am neither "cheap" nor a "bastard". What i have posted about HM Turbos is MY EXPERIENCE....not anyone else's. Interestingly enough, the one who helped me figure out the issues with my sled, did so OVER THE PHONE! :) Know why? Because he took time to LISTEN!! HM simply tried to sell me a bunch of parts that i did not need.

Secondly, I have also heard GREAT things about Silber and their customer service.

So have I. And that is why I said i would prefer them over HM. Again....my opinion/experience!

I have no plans, at least in the foreseeable future, to go see those guys, but i do think it is great that you and others have had a good experience....i simply did not...end of story!

Cheers!
