I need a new steering post and since Im buying one I would like to buy a forward mount. I sent wildchild a PM but didnt get any response does anyone know where else I can buy one?

wildchild

I PMd him a few days ago and I havent got a response, I need a stem. Does anyone else make them?

Just got mine from wild child 2 weeks ago. Professional finish and powder coating. Its seems super strong and installed fine. Sled handles way better in powder.

PM him again just in case it didn't go through but be patient sometimes he takes 2 to 3 days to get back to you.

Some tips on the install as the directions were a little sparse.

After pulling the air box, carbs and old post stuff rags in the intake to make sure nothing goes in accidently.

Use a grinder to shave down the thin metal post to allow clearance for the new bend.

Use a high speed hand held drill with a rotary rasp on a 6 inch extension to reach down to shave the aluminum on the motor mount to allow clearance when the post swings the other way.

The fuel line gets nudged by the new bend in the post a little so I slipped a bigger hose over the fuel line to protect it from pinching or being rubbed through. Just in case.

The directions mention to adjust the center steering link so the skiis and handle bars are straight. Just a reminder to not forget this step. After putting the belly pan back on I realized I forgot to do it and had to take the 10,000 screws back off again. :face-icon-small-dis
