I offer a great kit for this motor...uses off the shelf 2 ring cast pistons...built off of the 600HO carb...but with a BoonDocker box and gauges the SDI is applicable...call for details...BJ

i'm looking very seriously at a 2006 600 summit, i know they're a great sled. any advantages over an 05 600?

The 2005 600 summit was carbed, so they burn more gas then the 06. The 06 is also 10ibs lighter, though I have solved that problem:). I have heard of some 06's having problems with fuel mapping, glowing silencers and such, but I have never seen it myself. Personaly, I prefer the carbed 600 because I can work on it myself and the power isn't too smooth like the sdi sleds.

My dealer gave me a 07' 600 summit with a 151 to ride while my 1000 was getting fixed and all I have to say is WOW! for a little 600 they rock! No problems with what so ever. The power was pretty good. Nothing like my 1000 but it beat my mod MM700. It did awsome in powder and climbed pretty good. I would by one for a second sled anyday. Everyone in the group was having a blast playing on it. Almost as fun as my 1000 just not all the power.

05 - 600 - 144

I gotz one.:D It is going thru "Slim's Set-up" for the next year and will become my race sled and as a back up sled when my frikken DOO 800 goes down.

It's a ripper and everyone who rides it sez........ Wow, I could ride that!

Highly possible I will give up owning an 800 if the reliability issue is not fixed by BRP.................. It's very kewl spanking big sleds with these sleds and hearing the common comment .............

"That ain't no 600" ............................:D

I have an 06 600 sdi but i've had nothing but problems with it. Whenever I try to pin the throttle at about 3/4 throtle the rpms drop real quick then rise then drop again real quick rendering it completly useless for hill climbing. The worst part is I just Spent $600 and had it in the shop for 3 weeks getting it fixed only to find they didnt fix anything when i got back. So i cant figuire out whats wrong with it . Any Ideas?

I am selling the turbo setup I have been buiding for my 600 SDI. I have never bolted the stuff on. All you need to buy is a dump pipe flange.

Its good for 200+ hp I have it on ebay for 2100.00 Just give me a good offer and its yours.

I bought the fuel pressure regulator, exhaust and efi control box off mad max(you can see them in the pics in this thread)

Just in time for summer- The 600 SDI with this turbo setup will be hard to beat on any mountain!!!!!!!!

Just make me a reasonable offer!!!! (sale for $1900 for you snowesters!!!)

if mine wasnt bigbored i think this would be the way to go. they are supper fun sleds, and with more power than the 800s and a hell of a lot lighter, on mine at least, and maybe i left my 600 stickers on, it makes people really confused.

a turbo would be sick on these! why you deciding so sell it AKsummit?
and what are you all doing to strip off alot of weight?

I had a 800 Dragon kinda fall in my lap. So now the wife wants the Rev. I could keep the turbo and put it on the Dragon but realisticly I dont need it. Im sure I will regret selling it but I want to use the $$ to buy a dirtbike for the wife.

The 600 sdi with this turbo would be fun. I smile every time i think of the little 600 killing everyone on the mountain. The reason I decided to do it was because putting the turbo on the sled myself was cheaper then buying an 800. But then I had a guy sell me a brand new 800 155 dragon for 8800, and the wife said she wants to ride.

That the reason Im selling it.

My 07 is running without any problems yet-800miles I ride in the snowies and was wondering if anyone else experiences the deadspot at about 7000rpm. Kinda have to put it to the bar and then it really opens up. Kinda annoying but never seems to run bad. Is there an up date in the mapping since the 07's came out? I run dj clutch kit and an hps can. I really have fun on this sled and I get around great in the powder(Doesn't trench when you are boondocking just floats) Not sure if there is anyway I can make the sled more snappy so its right there when you I am boondocking? Anyone give me advice? What has everyone done with the gearing?
