i'm looking very seriously at a 2006 600 summit, i know they're a great sled. any advantages over an 05 600?
The 2005 600 summit was carbed, so they burn more gas then the 06. The 06 is also 10ibs lighter, though I have solved that problem. I have heard of some 06's having problems with fuel mapping, glowing silencers and such, but I have never seen it myself. Personaly, I prefer the carbed 600 because I can work on it myself and the power isn't too smooth like the sdi sleds.
I gotz one. It is going thru "Slim's Set-up" for the next year and will become my race sled and as a back up sled when my frikken DOO 800 goes down.
It's a ripper and everyone who rides it sez........ Wow, I could ride that!
Highly possible I will give up owning an 800 if the reliability issue is not fixed by BRP.................. It's very kewl spanking big sleds with these sleds and hearing the common comment .............
"That ain't no 600" ............................
CHEATER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
a turbo would be sick on these! why you deciding so sell it AKsummit?
and what are you all doing to strip off alot of weight?
My 07 is running without any problems yet-800miles I ride in the snowies and was wondering if anyone else experiences the deadspot at about 7000rpm. Kinda have to put it to the bar and then it really opens up. Kinda annoying but never seems to run bad. Is there an up date in the mapping since the 07's came out? I run dj clutch kit and an hps can. I really have fun on this sled and I get around great in the powder(Doesn't trench when you are boondocking just floats) Not sure if there is anyway I can make the sled more snappy so its right there when you I am boondocking? Anyone give me advice? What has everyone done with the gearing?
