Ive got one and just want to talk to some other folks with them ..

If you have put a clutch kit on yours I would be interested in knowing how that helped. Also With all the damn 800 PROBELMS rev or XP its funny that you hear nothing about these sleds ;)

My biggest problem is everyone fighting over the extra gas I bring ;)

The 600 HO is a very underrated sled. I had no problems with mine except the piston rings that were warrantied. I now have 4 07 600 and they are even better with the SDI.

Been running a Renegade 600 and it's run great. Just picked up a 07 Summit 600 for this season, can't wait to get out and play with the longer track.
I know everyone gets on the displacement thing, but I don't care about being the highest on the hill. The SDI is smooth, reliable so far, and yes, great on gas.

I take alot of **** for riding a 600 from my buddies. But there is still yet to be a place they have been that I havent. Its definalty a "get you there" sled.

I love the 600 and pretty proud of the little sled. I did race a m7 flat out last year and beat him too, so there ya go.

I rode a 600 summit for 3 years. I agree with that they are under rated. It's a fun sled to ride and keeps up with the pack. Sure you can't leave the highmark on big hills, but it does everything else just as good.

I ran a DJ clutch kit on mine and it turned my sled into a whole new animal. IMO the stock clutching was pretty crappy with poor throttle responce and sloooow back shift. After tuning Joe's kit the little 600 was a blast. It pulled strong and whenever you got back into the throttle the gusto was instantly there.

Do you know a link for where I can find a DJ clutch kit?

I remember him having a direct link so you dont have to go through a distibutor but I cant find it.

thnx.

I bought an 04 600 last year, ran great all year with not one problem. This year I wanted to give it a little extra so I bought one of DJ's clutch kits. The good news is that I can't say enough about DJ and how helpful he's been getting it installed and setup. The bad news is that I haven't been able to ride it anywhere other than the backyard yet, but I can tell you it pulls hard. I'll post more once I get it to the mountains.

I have a 600HO with DJ's S6X kit, but I installed a 160/320 primary spring in it. I can't remember the spring it came with, but it had a higher starting spring force and that caused me to spin out to much.

The sled worked well, but the rings went on it. So when I had the jugs off, one thing led to another and the next thing you know I have a RKT 734 big bore. No this thing rips with the 800HO's.

My wife rides a 600 and she loves it. She goes anywhere us guys go. I got her back into riding and now she is the best riding partner I could ask for. Sometimes I think she has bigger balls than my buddies.

SNAFU, what RPM was your sled engaging at before the new spring? With the kit installed mine is engaging at about 4300. According to Joe it should about 3800, so I'm trying to figure that out.

Here are a couple pics of my 07 600SDI summit. Pretty fun little sled.

the 734/738 whichever it is is quite the ripperi left the 600 stickers on as a joke, i also have a DJ clutch kit and it really helpes it run, i was alble mark close to a summit 800 151 with a pipe, can and a bunch of lightweight stuff. it had the extra track to handle the the deep powder thats where it really got me, i was just sinking.

and the thing will pul and go always, it doesnt like cold starts, a few pulls on the chord and it runs all day and with my 738 it still runs rich with factory jetting, not bad that a 140cc bigbore still uses the same amount of fuel but makes a TON more power.

i ahve been running the 600ho for the last 2 years and so far i like it. i havent rode the 800 but i hear they like to raddle apart so i think i will stay with the 600. mine is bone stock so now i am trying to get the sled alittle more tuned.

I also just bought a new 07 600 ho sdi summit at the end of the season last year. It is a great sled for me. Only have 350 miles on it. Just installed a dynamo joe clutch kit on it this summer. Gonna try it out on our trip to the snowies Jan 3. Love to hear more from you other 600 summit owners on what works.
