Show me were I bashed you and called you an Idiot (Please)

Welcome to the thread Ted! Actually you called me a few things. Should i post our e-mail conversation?
You know it really doesn't matter what my A/Fs are, because i was fast when they were where they are. I think we covered the fact that you misrepresented your product, and that is all that really matters. Pound for pound of boost, your manifold sucks, and turbo guys want power...of all the people out there, you should understand this.
Why did you not Dyno this header against the competition? Everyone deserves to know?

NM

Ok, you made your point, you dont like the header and you got your opinion across to everyone, can we move on now.It just gets uglier from here on out so lets move on eh',. lol

I am sure there will be a point where Ted admits he sells an inferior product. Hey HYFLYR would you be better off reading this post before you considered buying this product. I am just doing everyone a favour. At least I have not posted the same challenge for Ted on this forum as I did on TY. LOL I think I will save that one for a while.

First off it is NOT a Header it is a Manifold, You Knew that.
I offered to exchange it for a header you refused.

OOOHHH A/F has all to do with making Power any one who is anyone can veryify that just do a google search for crying out loud.

Simple Physics, you have to burn fuel to make power, but You just don't get it.
14.0:1 at any boost level will not make good power, your EGT will be insanely high, the Very reason you cracked so many headers to begin with.

The reason you bought my manifold, Your tired of Cracked headers.

In fact N/A motors Make full power at 13.0
Boosted motors make full power at 12.5

The bottom line is you bought my product, you have a fuel problem but are blaming my product, you refuse to try anything I suggested but this is my fault.

So lets talk about where the power really comes from instead of bashing something you know nothing about.

Oh and when you crack the New Alpine Header from running your sled soooo lean let me know.

This would not be Alpines fault As they build a great product, but when It happens I am sure you will Flame them also.

I will take 50 please.

The merge collector alone from Burns Stainless with a t-25 flange and double slips, in 321 cost 600.00 alone, 321 stainless J bends are like 100.00 each you need 3 to build the header, then you have the head flange at 60.00 and 8 hours of cut and weld time + welding supplies and electricity.

Just an FYI.

Well thats your first problem is you are buying premade parts, make the collector yourself and save you and your customer money. Another way to save money is to buy your metal from anywhere other than Burns, they do have nice things but are over priced. Do you need 321 stainless? I know it is the best material to use but can you get away with 304 or 316 in schedule 10? I am not saying that you dont build nice things but $1600 is offly pricey for such a simple manifold.

I wouldnt be better off reading this because i have already rode a sled with this header at 20lbs of boost and it rocked to say the least. Does it spool super fast, no, does it make good power and reliably, yes. To say it lost you 100hp is absord however. C'mon, seriously, to say at 18 pounds of boost on a perfect engine lets say 320hp, maybe a touch more. To subtract a 100hp out of that, or even 60 is rediculous because like i said i have real world experience with this header and it wasnt pulling no 220 hp range at 18. Your upset, i understand that, people say dumb things when they are upset or tend to embelish when they are, in your case i think this might be so, unless its your setup. A 100hp, lets be serious here!

Your a pretty good dancer Ted. Where are the Dyno Numbers?

Oh and I forgot the Coating and spring kits.
Your entitled to your opinion and I respect that, your capable of making a header most people either can't or don't care to, this is still America right Home of the Lazy LOL.

We are diligently looking at options of reducing cost so stay tuned.

I think this is exactly what these forums are good for, to find out what does and doesn,t work from others befor alot more people throw money at somebody. and I am not bashing Ted or his products but it sounds to me like his header may be top quality but it hurts performance, atleast in the mountains and thats the kind of information that needs to get out. He has claimed numerous times that he can set you up for what ever elevation and type of riding you do, If I was Ted I would want to know if my product was not working as intended, so that I could either correct the problem or inform my customers that ride the same elevation or terrain that this may not work for thier situation. it sounds like the guys running the lakes at low elevation are happy with it so I think it is a good product if used in the right application. but for the guy riding the mountains wanting every last hp. he can get it may not work. and there is a difference running 2000 ft. across a frozen lake at over 100 mph and running 2000 ft. up a hill in 4 ft. of powder at 10,000 ft. at 40 to 60 degree slope with the throttle pinned 30 to 40 actual mph heat soaking the motor. different riding styles different needs. you don,t need 20 lbs of boost to run across the lake but you do need it climbing some of those hills at 10,000 ft. and it works the motor alot harder.

Trust me, i dont ride lakes. I may not ride at 10,000 feet but i do ride 2k to 5k every weekend and never on flat ground.

Thank you, and I am sure the A/F was correct or it would not Rock regarless of who's header or manifold.

Absolutely, I am all for it, I welcome true and accurate feedback good and bad, but this guy is just out of control.

I have several guys who ride elevation and are happy also.

When a guy tells me his A/F is 14.0:1 at 18 psi boost and he has no power that clearly sends up a red flag.

All I asked is that he richen up his mixture to 12.5:1 and try it.

Don't you all agree that, this is what should happen before I even consider that the manifold may be the problem.

Instead he is going to as many web sites as he can and trying to make me look like a bad guy.

this is how it went down, from the TY board.

Let's recap here.

1) You orderd a manifold to solve your cracked header every ride problem.

2) You installed the manifold and claimed to have lost power.

3) You sent me an email demanding a full refund, which is clearly delt with in the Policy sent along with the parts.

4) I offered to help.

5) We had a Phone conversation, I asked a few simple questions and came to the conclusion that your A/F is WAY too Lean to make any Power.
I also explained Why.

6) You Refuse to try anything I suggested and still demanded a full refund.
Also threatened me with site bashing of my product if I did not take it back for a full refund.

7) I also offered an exchange for a Race Header, you refused.

8) You didn't get your way so you post a Real World Test with ABSOLUTELY NO DATA to back up your Claims.

NO, I don't Know everything but I sure as Hell can back up what I say with REAL WORLD DATA.

It takes fuel to make power Deal with it.

If this product is so great, why not MAN UP and refund it ?

You people on this sites make me laugh, if it doesnt work, which i was there for 3 days to see first hand, WTF is the point in all these BS claims. It lost power, plain and simple. Sugar coat it as you may, facts are facts.

Im gone to ride 4 feet of powder, on my sled that has a good header/manifold. Hahahahaha.

Have fun ladies.

UUUUMMMM HE HAS A FUEL PROBLEM, HE ADMITTED TO ME ON THE PHONE.

I am more that willing to work with anyone who is willing to work with me.

He is not willing to work with me instead he threatens me, take it back or else I will go and cry to everyone else.

It is not about the money it is about principle.

Ted I agree if it was me I would lower my a/f and see what happens if it still lost power then I would get back in contact with you.

I think it is time to get you in to "Hooked on Phonics" there Ted. How many times have I asked you, what are you going to do if I set it up exactly the way you want, and it still sucks. Then what? You are not answering the questions. I have asked you at least 4 times why no Dyno test, and you have not even addressed the question. I'ts our money, that is the bottom line, don't we deserve to know?

Hey HYFLYR, I know you are trying to defend Ted, and that is sweet and all, but Performance without testing is perception. Unless you establish a benchmark, and test against that benchmark, what have you learned. Your seat of the pants Dyno works no better than mine. Ted never tested this product against the one that it replaces, and he will not address that question other than " I make no claims of power", and then out of the other side of his mouth he says it should run with tube header with the right set up. Ted should be a politician, can't get a straight answer out of them either.

Why don't you set A/F to 12.5 and see what happens? Then you'll have some real info instead of worrying what a dyno run looks like. What does a dyno have to do with mountain riding any way?

OK Ted, I will issue the same challenge I asked for on TY.

Here goes...You or one of your customers can set up a Turbo Apex any way you want, and run as much boost as you want. You can use NOS, Meth inj. or whatever fills your boots. The only condition is you have to use the manifold that you sold me. I will run 18 lbs boost max, we can race up a hill, climb chutes, or whatever you want. I will put up 5000.00 that I will make your sled look slow. You should be nuts not taking this offer considering I can not set up a sled. I will drive up to 10 or so hours to the mountain of your choice, you name it. Please do not make the excuse" If you were a real man I would accept your challenge" like you sent me by e-mail. I think that we should settle this. If the stakes are to high for you, then we will do it for fun, which either way you will be eating crow. How can you say no to this?

Because 2 other companies have tried this style of header/manifold and they don't work in the mountains. Read my original post, I really don't want to waste any more time and money on something that I know doesn't work. Would you like to buy this Junk manifold? only 500.00. That is less than half price, but more than it is worth. LOL
NM

If two other companys have tried it and it didnt work why did you waist your money? since you new allready it wasnt going to work?
