I think this is exactly what these forums are good for, to find out what does and doesn,t work from others befor alot more people throw money at somebody. and I am not bashing Ted or his products but it sounds to me like his header may be top quality but it hurts performance, atleast in the mountains and thats the kind of information that needs to get out. He has claimed numerous times that he can set you up for what ever elevation and type of riding you do, If I was Ted I would want to know if my product was not working as intended, so that I could either correct the problem or inform my customers that ride the same elevation or terrain that this may not work for thier situation. it sounds like the guys running the lakes at low elevation are happy with it so I think it is a good product if used in the right application. but for the guy riding the mountains wanting every last hp. he can get it may not work. and there is a difference running 2000 ft. across a frozen lake at over 100 mph and running 2000 ft. up a hill in 4 ft. of powder at 10,000 ft. at 40 to 60 degree slope with the throttle pinned 30 to 40 actual mph heat soaking the motor. different riding styles different needs. you don,t need 20 lbs of boost to run across the lake but you do need it climbing some of those hills at 10,000 ft. and it works the motor alot harder.
Absolutely, I am all for it, I welcome true and accurate feedback good and bad, but this guy is just out of control.
I have several guys who ride elevation and are happy also.
When a guy tells me his A/F is 14.0:1 at 18 psi boost and he has no power that clearly sends up a red flag.
All I asked is that he richen up his mixture to 12.5:1 and try it.
Don't you all agree that, this is what should happen before I even consider that the manifold may be the problem.
Instead he is going to as many web sites as he can and trying to make me look like a bad guy.
this is how it went down, from the TY board.
Let's recap here.
1) You orderd a manifold to solve your cracked header every ride problem.
2) You installed the manifold and claimed to have lost power.
3) You sent me an email demanding a full refund, which is clearly delt with in the Policy sent along with the parts.
4) I offered to help.
5) We had a Phone conversation, I asked a few simple questions and came to the conclusion that your A/F is WAY too Lean to make any Power.
I also explained Why.
6) You Refuse to try anything I suggested and still demanded a full refund.
Also threatened me with site bashing of my product if I did not take it back for a full refund.
7) I also offered an exchange for a Race Header, you refused.
8) You didn't get your way so you post a Real World Test with ABSOLUTELY NO DATA to back up your Claims.
NO, I don't Know everything but I sure as Hell can back up what I say with REAL WORLD DATA.
It takes fuel to make power Deal with it.
