Who has tried a Jannetty Header?

I have one of these Jannetty manifolds that cracked in 22 miles I am on my own.

Did you purchase this manifold from Ted or as part of someone else's kit?

Dude....if you left this little detail out of your story to cover the fact that you've got a mix and match set-up, purchased from someone else, your credibility just went down the toilet.

I am not looking for credibility here. Just trying to protect some other poor guys that will lose thyre hard earned cash. It is evedint to me here that a TY moderator is post Ted Jannettys statement wich is not accurate at all. He never was going to refund my money nor was Simons I fell through the Simons Jannetty Crack. No one felt they needed to resolve this period. Also as far as the TY moderators dicrediting me on here go back home where you have more political control over your reigning empire. Just hope the truth gets to the guys on the fence ready to do business with these to vendors that is all. Bottom line is I gave Simons 7000gs for this box of parts noone else.

Because of the recent bashing I received on my turbo manifolds it has raised some questions as to the quality and performance of my manifolds.

The feedback I have received from customers varies widely most are very happy and some are disappointed.

I am still collecting data and feedback as to the differences in performance.

I was told a Log manifold would not work, but we have to define not work.

The design was geared totally toward durability, lack of maintenance, and long life.

Some of the problems I have worked with people on are not directly related to the manifold itself even though they may have showed their ugly head at the same time as the install.

Restrictive down pipes, probably the single biggest problem.
result, cracks, and lack of performance, you can't stuff 300 hp through a 2 inch pipe and not expect things to get hot.

POWDERLITES HAS THE BEST DOUBLE DOWN PIPE OUT THERE RIGHT NOW AND CAN MAKE ONE TO FIT YOUR SLED.

Lean Air fuels, the second biggest problem.

Exhaust leaks, no gasket between turbo and manifold, reusing manifold to head gasket.

Cam timing, boost leaks, clutching, etc. etc.

The bottom line is this, if you purchase anything from ME, Ted Jannetty, President Turboaddicionparts.com and President, Jannetty Racing, Please take it up with ME by phone or personal email, I will stand behind my product and will come to a conclusion as to what the problem is and work toward a solution.

We are working diligently to come to a conclusion as to what direction we are going with the manifolds, and you have my personal promise I will not leave anyone hung out to dry.

There may be an update available in the near future.

Sincerily, Ted Jannetty

As Far as Need for Speed 2, you MOTHER F'd every Vendor you ever dealt with to me and publicly in this order, MCX, Powderlites, Mountain Performance, CPR, and I guess it just MY Turn.

Kevin you screwed yourself, not only did you burn the bridge you blew it up.

You didn't buy the manifold from me, Yet I still promised you on the Phone I would stand behind the manifold, and would work with you, STILL YOU chose the low road.

I am not going to get in to details of all of our conversations over the last three years and I am not going to drop to your level.

I will say this YOU need to take a real hard look in the mirror.

I am no longer going to respond to this post I said my peace and that is the end of it.

Ted I have paid tou for your time on the phone and as far as waiting till next summer to resolve the manifold issue that was not good enough for me. You are a self proclaimed expert. My opinion you are a bull****ter with only insight to how much money you can drain from guys like me. Like the 10 percent you charged me for the turbo kitthat was supposed to be shipped and after 10 days had not. yea 10 percent restock for something you never had. I paid you for your time. As for the mirror I think that works both ways. I run a very succesful Collision business. We are still in growth mode. I dont argue with my customers its all about service regardless of who did or said what. I have said my peice as well Ted .

We dont kiss anybodys arse Kevin. What is a certain vendor?
Why did Turbo Tim get a refund? Is it possible it is because he is reasonable and a gentleman? Is it possible people can be their own worst enemy?

Bottom line is I sincerely wish you the best and hope it all works out, I really

do.

I never jump into these threads but I feel like I need to make a comment here. I agree that being polite etc is the way to go but all of these manufacturers need to stand behind their products 100% especially for the coin we are laying out. I don't know Need for Speed and he may be a complete a$$hole for all I know, but that doesn't preclude him from getting some customer service even if he is a total PITA. The happiest day I had was when I shut down my business so I didn't have to deal with any more Aholes but that is part of being in business.

I've got my own header story as well. My original CPR header lasted 5 rides then was full of cracks. Looking inside of it it was welded poorly with large globs of metal inside the tubes etc. I decided to replace it with a Powderlites header. As it turned out the Powderlites header didn't fit exactly the same as my CPR one did (it was real close) so there was a clearance issue on the deltabox and the header cracked after a few rides. It was my fault not to have noticed how close the header was to the deltabox and not to have considered the movement in my engine mounts so I should have hogged out some of the material in the first place. Long story short I sent the header back to Dave and he welded the crack and had it back to me in a day no questions asked. I'm sure he thought I was a complete idiot but he had the decency not to say so at least, clearly I made the install mistake. So I learned a lesson there about turbos and installs and I'm still learning. I've got 2000K on this header and yah it'll probably wear out too but so far so good. I know there are differences between flatland and mountain set ups but in summary if you want real service and a guy that knows his stuff and you are running a mounatain setup, (I can't vouch for the flatland side) better start shopping at Powderlites. JMO.

M5,

I feel the same way. I do not know either Ted or Need for speed but I feel like Ted owes the people a bit more on this issue since he never tested this header prior to releasing to the masses.

This manifold is made from Schedule 10 high grade 304 stainless.

There is a lot of scrap stainless on the welding bench right now LOL.

Turbo addiction part will warrantee this header 1 year from the date of purchase.

NO it has not been tested, we have no snow, but Given the engineering behind this Manifold I don't expect any problems.

This will also be available fully Ceramic coated inside and out, I will update the pictures when I get it coated.

I wouldn'd release anything until I had completely tested it out on my own sled!!

Dave wouldn't release his Nytro kit until he had put lots of miles on it.

I think Ted meant well by trying this header. Maybe he should have at least tested it before he sold it especially if he was going to puff up his chest and claim it wouldn't crack.

Face it all headers crack......it's just a matter of time...Time is fatique.....

Good luck to all parties. Bad deal.

I agree Sapling-Thrasher,

Ted was trying to do a good thing and help out the frustrated guys that were cracking up there headers which is all good but he was over confident and he went about it to quickly and released a untested product.

It ticked me off the way Ted presented his manifold to the TY members rite from the start. I felt some of Ted's statements about the reliability of his untested manifold were kind of a slap on the face to some of the turbo builder that have been working hard for quite a while to solve this problem after all the turbo builder have spent way more time R&Ding headers and manifolds. Ted could have tried to call a few of them on the phone when he first started this project and got more insight on what has been tested and tried.

Sorry Ted but the way you went about this and some of the statements and claims you made I think you deserve bashing
