Where is a good place in Denver to look for a house?

Right downtown is a challenge for RV's, you'll likely be just out of downtown. Price point is a big determining factor. I breathe sleds and work in real estate. If you want to call me or shoot me an email I'm happy to help with your questions. No strings attached. Jared Carlson 303-596-9187 or jared@jaredcarlsonrealestate.com

Jared, whats up??? How was summer??? We will have to hook up again this winter.

I've been wondering for a while what the heck dudes that live way up in the high country do for a living. Seems that the Front Range has the paying jobs.....that is, unless you're tied to a trust fund. Don't take it wrong, I'm honestly interested in how folks make enough dough to fund a house (even one that's 'only' $150k, fund a family, and fund a hobby with turbos on a job that can be had in the deep high country where median salary is in the 60s. Where I'm originally from, only a very few could pull that off, and it was a tall order. Okay....way off topic. Let me know if anyone's interested in foothills life, and I'll chime back in.

Well, I'm in Land Development and that kept me pretty well until the layoff in 10/08, then in 03/10 I got a job working as a Land Surveyor/Engineering Tech at the Henderson Mine and Mill. Pretty good job with great benefits. Since the product is sold worldwide, it's a pretty safe job...

...for now

Arvada or Wheat Ridge, 20 minutes to downtown and still on west side for the heading up. - Id look there.

Man you sure you want to move to denver? I have been through Vernal many times....nice small town with no traffic. I hate going to denver the traffic drives me crazy. Also, the friday I-70 traffic up to the mountains in the winter on and back on sunday is horrid. its not uncommon to take 6 hours going from summit county back to denver on sunday in the winter.

The outdoor recreation opportunities are awesome here, but as far as social life and career go, I'm pretty much at a dead end here. There's more to life than sleds and dirt bikes believe it or not.

Awwww shoot boys. Dog is growing up right in front of our eyes.

Lower your standards, you aren't gonna find a 10 in a land of 5s and 7s. Besides, you find a 10 you can kiss that sled and bike goodbye. Having a wife ain't all it cracked up to be. Love the kids, God I love em but if I had it to all over again, married I won't be.

I'm telling you, your life is as close to perfect as you can get. You have money and nobody to answer to. You can go and do as you please. You have no idea how valuable that is.

Hey, this thread is about house hunting. Wow.

You should work at Hallmark...I can see it now....

Dear son...I love you....but if I could have made different decisions and you didn't exist...it would be awesome for me.....Happy Birthday.....ps.....your adopted.

Love Dad

Welp, guess its all but totally certain I'm moving .... Most likley in January.

I asked the boss today "So are you guys gonna move me ...?"

"Well, if you have anything around your house that needs fixed I'd say get it fixed letrs say"

So I'm taking that to mean january.

Why the hell are houses with RV parking so hard to come by here? :face-icon-small-con

Congrats. Least now you have a trailer that will haul everything you own up here. So moving will be easier. You looking around again??

Eh ... I already have a 60 minute commute to work every day as it is, if I can cut that down it'd be cool, if not I guess it won't be any different than what I already am doing.

But yeah, having the trailer parking is gonna be key.

This probably won't happen till after the first of the year, so I guess I'll just keep my eyes peeled for stuff...

I feel a few leasons coming

You can spend 60 minutes in the same intersection the wrong time of the day.

Oh, DO NOT, under any circumstances, even consider 80033. Just a friendly suggestion

Welcome to the front range

Well this has all been interesting talk. You can live almost anywhere you want within 30 min of Denver and get what you want. I am a Realtor and own a Metro Brokers office. Feel free to contact me and I can help you or snowmobile with you!

Im wondering why you mention this? I live just a few miles to the east in the Denver Highlands neighborhood. Just wondering why you feel this way about 80033, problems with Gun Smoke gun shop?

Welp, guess its official.

I will be moving to Denver in March.
