What pack to get?

One thing they say about a pack, is it should have the shovel and probe zipped inside. Tumbling with an avalanche can jar a shovel loose.

My pack has some spots inside that the probe slips in.

I agree, watch where you spend your money. You just might be supporting companies that don't support us.

Freak!! i bought a camelbak and love the pack... After i read some of the articles on the site posted i was pissed that i bought the backpack.. looks like i need to do more homework before buying gear.. its almost like supporting the terrorists!! Thanks for the info though i will keep that in mind when buying gear..

On the Ogio Three 6, I just slide my probe down into the same slot my shovel handle goes into. Works very well, but I am getting an ABS pack myself.

hey thanks, great idea on the probe ploes.leaves a bit more room in the pack. the three 6 pack has been great.

I have used two different packs, HMK and OGIO Three6.... My HMK was great, it just wasn't big enough for eveything... I lost all my dash storage, so I needed more. The OGIO three 6 is great, almost twice the storage of the HMK, but doesn't seem that much bigger when you have it on... Has plenty of storage, ect.... They have discontinued them, but I got a great deal, 50 bones, when it retailed for 110... Here is the website....
