What oil

Been running polaris VES gold in mine. Dad used to run amsoil in his rev his ves valves were easier to clean than mine were I had to scrape quite a bit to get them clean, did the oven cleaner carb cleaner and still had to scrape them. He just used some carb cleaner and scotch brite. He swiched to redline this year and his valves were even cleaner one he just used a rag on the other had a small amount of build up that came off easily. So ill be switching as soon as I run out of Gold. Some of the difference may be the finish on the rev valves is smother than on the polaris.

also he bought the redline for $39 per gallon from the polaris dealer which is the same as the gold.

If you are paying 49 bucks a gallon your pay way to much.. Shop around and you can get it alot cheaper. I can find It around 36 a gallon, No now it is 38 a gallon, (local Napa store). Buy as much as you can at once. If you burn 8 gallons a yr. then buy 3 cases at the begining of the season, or at the end. I have found you can get some real good buys on red line at the last snow show of the yr.

X2 on the power values with the redline, CLEAN

we sell our first batch(16-20 cases) of redline every year for 39.99/gallon as i pick it up from kim at the shows when i pick up my personal oil. (the savings is all in the extra freight.) once that is gone it sells for 41.95/gallon and yes retail is actually 49.99/gallon. also offer case discounts if our customers come in around show season and let me know what they want so i can pick it up and not pay freight on this oil as well. as for the comment above that polaris gold is a good oil, i disagree in the fact that when running it you end up cleaning your powervalves more often than any other oil we sell. it is the OEM oil, and it does the job, just more work in the long run to save $1-2/gallon. Redline is by far our number one selling oil at the shop, considering not even ordering any blue marble after the way this season went/is still going i guess

for any of you who do not have local dealers carrying redline, Kim from SRCC goes to pretty much every snow show on the west coast circuit and will sell direct at the shows only

Erch..I don't sell REDLINE OIL. Get it from Kim at SRCC or one of his retailers in your local area. He is out of Portland Oregon and is a great great guy. Works his butt off to bring this excellent product to the masses. Like Jeremy says he goes to darn near every western US sled show with a huge load of product for you all. (IT IS ALL WE HAVE EVER USED BOTH RACING AND RECREATION....WON A MILLION RACES AND ALWAYS HAD SUPERIOR OIL RELATED RESULTS)

or go to srcc.biz to contact KIM (503-310-7729)

http://srcc.biz/page1.html

Call KIM and organize a purchase and then pick it up when he gets in your area. We buy in bulk at the first of the season so that you don't get killed on shipping.

oh and Jeremy I find it disturbing that Dan thought you had the "best looking bottom end" he's ever seen....that is wrong on so many levels! EWWWWW

wondering the same thing. There is now way in h*** I'll pay $500 per gallon for oil that I'm just gonna burn up.

Ya , no way in h*** i would pay $500 per gallon for any oil , haha , could not help myself .
It sounds like i will be running Redline , is it best to start running it right from the start , break in etc. , if so i will get them to PTI my sed with it ?

Everyone has oil opinions.

Let me just say that I run AMS in everything (diesel truck, gas SUV, two-stroke sleds, four-stroke dirtbikes, quads, etc). I test my oil through AMS and get really good results.

I've had a D7 with 3400 miles, D8 with 1700 miles and a Pro with 1100 miles and never had a burn down (knock on wood). Polaris oil is over priced and I feel that Polaris is raping people who buy it. AMS is better priced and I get a good hook up on it. Works for me.

ERCH.. Sorry rob, was not emplying that you sold it. Just that I had got some from you before, who ever you get it from has a good price on it.

NO! The rings seat faster without going to synthetics right away. That's why the sleds have a quart of Polaris Blue (without the dye) in them from the factory. I run the first 2-300 miles on Blue, then switch.

Have FUN!

Anyone on here from Red Deer Alberta area , where is the best place ( price ) to get redline two stroke oil.
I also see that Redline has different bends for two strokes , which one
---two-stroke racing
---two-stroke snowmobile
---two -cycle smokeless
---all sport two stroke
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Interesting , one of the oils mentioned I haven't even heard of , different areas or it's because I haven't been paying attention . Using Torco blend so far , had a dealorship one year telling me to burn full synthetic and the next year telling me to use blend so I went another route . Curious about mineral oil since I have a top end that recommends it and the set up is also pre-mix. Any good sites for mineral oil ?

We heard that you just run the 2 stroke snowmobile oil, I just got it for $33.75 per gallon, that was cheaper than what I used to get my Amzoil for!!! We will se how it works, but from what I heard my new Pro will be burning it.

REDLINEI run the redline Race oil (kart oil) $$$ but a very very good product. Note that redline makes 2 oils, snowmobile l and the 2 stroke race oil.

figure if the race oil worked flawlessly in my 2.5 merc drag outboards at 14,000 rpm and 400 hp should be aok in my sleds..lol

you must get special sleds from the factory then... all of the sleds that come to us have gold in them straight from the factory

Rings will seat just fine with synthetic. Two main reasons dealerships and mechanics will say to use mineral is
#1. Its cheaper for the manufacturer to put in mineral.
#2. deals with 4 strokes. It's cheaper to do a few 500 mile break-in changes to flush the engine of metal particles.

Seating rings is more importantly determined on how the engine is run during break-in period.
