What oil

Ordered a 2012 163 PRO retro , what is the best oil to run in these , been away from the 2 strokes for awhile.

Best is...debatable, endlessly.

My sled had 700 miles on it w/ the Polaris VES Gold +.

Since I've owned it, I've put ~500+ miles on it w/ Legend ZX-2R.

Check out Blue Marble there is alot of information on their website. I have been running it forever and have tested against all Polaris oils and found to be better. Incredibly clean burning-valves and engine protection.

I have heard that Redline is very good also, going to be running it my new Pro also!

Heard that same thing from an R&D guy from a mod vendor this year. After listening to what he had to say I have decided to run Redline in my turbo pro this year. I have also decided to premix and ounce or two per tank.
I have always run VES Gold and it has been fine but it sounds like there really is a difference.

I have run redline, amsoil interceptor, and klotz techniplate. I personally like moors the best but it is hard to get in my area so I usually run amsoil. All the 3 I listed have been good to my sled. My las sled was only amsoil and went 6000 miles and still looked good. That's my .02, to each is own

Ive run amsoil, polaris blue, polaris gold, and polaris red. I like the polaris red, I have heard very good things about the redline, will be running that next year.

What oil to run

My best friend is a dealer for slp and he has read that slp has run polaris engines on their dyno and blew up engines with their own oil then put in redline with no problems,I have run redline in my 02 800 vertical edge since new with no problems.

REDLINE
I have run the polaris blue, and gold. I moved to the redline a few yrs ago. I have tore down motors that I have ran all three oils in. the motors that I have ran the red line in are better coated in oil, vs. the ones that I have ran the blue or the gold. These motors that have had the blue and the gold in don't seem to have the oil coating inside the case and on the cylinder walls. Compared to the motors that I have ran the redline in, with the redline there are little droplets, and a nice film everywhere in the motor.
I have also heard very good things about the blue marble oil as well. But I have never ran it.
The motors that I have ran the redline in and have tore down have all been for updates and milage maintance, never any motor problems. I have lost motors with the blue and the gold. Cranks, pistons, and wrist pins, with the blue and the gold. Maybe just unlucky with those oils. But I don't think so!

Redline.. '09 Assault - 2700 miles then sold it. 11' Assault 2000 miles this year and snow is still on the ground. It seems to provide good protection and the cost is good.

I've run about everything in all kinds of 2 strokes. For synthetics my favorite was klotz, my favorite for mineral was Phillips injex. Neither of which I can easily get in my area, and or riding areas. So I decided to switch to amsoil, mainly cause I can find it anywhere.

I really wish I could find injex easily still. I'd go back to it with my '12.

Redline, 3300 boosted miles when Indy Dan tore into my motor and he said it was the best looking bottom end he had ever seen boosted or not. Have over 10000 miles in the last three years with it and never an issue and still haven't had my power valves ever gum up.

Doesn't matter.. what oil you shooze!!

Make SURE you clean the Exaust Valves every 500 miles!!

Actually the Polaris VES Gold is a VERY good oil!

49.99/gallon for redline, seems a little steep. Is there anywhere that sells it cheaper than their website? Are you guys running the redline 2-stroke snowmobile or racing oil?

Thanks
