What is with all the non XP riders??

The same thing with the RT. People always complain about the weight of "that fat pig" 1000.
The most people complaining over the RT:s are 800 owners, but a fact is I never met an 800 yet that have outclimbed me either in forest or mountains.
I'm happy with my RT and the weight does'nt bother me at all.

I have never seen so many non Doo riders on the XP threads talking crap about these sleds!!

Is it XP envy?? I am thinking so.

They are scared of the --what they consider--the unknown!!

Funny how they are all experts on sleds they do not own or have ever ridden.

H20SKE...

you got to be kidding
thought washington sate was getting some good snow

It's the internet. The same thing happened in '03 with the Firecat and in '05 with the Fusion. This year, it's Doo's turd, I mean turn. It's that whole "everyone loves a good train wreck" mentality, as long as it's not your train.

I'm not a Doo rider, but I ride alot with them. A couple concerns, My buddys first belt went away within 60 miles. My other hit a rock not that fast, bent the tunnel. Not to impressed yet. Air vents for XP are on back order he is told.

Go to Cooke City Sinclair website and look at the big ol holes those Yamahahahahahaha boys have to dig just to get those overweight pigs unstuck. I sure pitty the guys that are unfortunate enough to fall into those holes.

You Doo guys are funny. You pick on Yamaha for its weight and that is the only thing you can find. I can't believe you equate weight with being a poor stock sled. Look deep into your tin can piece of junk and tell me it is the end all be all ! You keep talking about riding through the trees. I ride where ever my Doo buddies ride whether it be in the trees or on nice big hills ! I ride in the mountains not in the parking lot there lads. How can you guys ride through the trees consistently when you have to stop and change the belt on a regular basis ?

I really couldn't care what you think about my "tub" because i know and you know even with 260HP it will run longer and harder than your over marketed under engineered tin can.

I love guys who can't tell it the way it is. You could own any sled and say it is the best even after you buy 100 belts. The best stock sled, c'mon ?

I think i would know i do own a XP ! I guess that doesn't make me a "non XP rider"

how do you know so much about a sled you dont ride? as for your perfect yammie, what a laugh,of all the once ive seen, they always have the hoods up checking stuff, two i ride with had tps sensors go, then run like a bag, check oil lines, may leak and burn up,they always have a code flashing, there hand warmers sucked, sterring flops around like a 10year old sled in one season, sliders burnt off so fast that they added extra wheels, and yes there heavy, so dont give me this crap on how there so great,if there so great why do you have to spend $10000 to make them go, and that doesnt make them light yet, high hp turboed! yes, reliable some what! stock they sucked, thats why there all turboed,as for tin can, compared to what, a sled made of steel, 16lb drop brackets? theres this stuff out there called aluminum! its light, maybe yamaha should invest in some!

Well, I cannot comment on the XP yet. I've ridden a friend's machine and it does work well, but I've not enough seat time to give a fair opinion. I owned several doo's until last year and had fairly good luck with them, but tried an M1 and felt more comfortable on the sled, so now there are two M's in the household. For the record, the wifey likes hers more than her 04 Summit X600, and that sled rocked. The XP will work well, but it won't be for everyone. I don't think there is such a think as a perfect sled out of the crate, which is why there is such a huge aftermarket out there. Bottom line - it doesn't matter what you ride as long as you're having fun doing it - not everyone has huge amounts of money to purchase a new sled an then turbo / supercharge / lightweight / big bore, etc. Buy from a dealer who knows setup, will provide good after sales service, and maybe a discount on parts, too. Be safe out on the snow and remeber to have fun.

Who says i don't ride one ? I'll have you know i can compare the two sleds side by side from the day i owned them both. Your "bestest sled ever" LOL has waayyy more issues than my Apex ever did in the 3 seasons i have been riding it with and without the turbo. The only thing i ever had trouble with is my handwarmers did not work super great, even then they still worked better than the XP did this year. They didn't even last 5 minutes and they were shot. As for the TPS thing, was more guys not throwing in some die electric grease rather than a faulty part. I have 700 km on my turbo and have not had to touch a single thing and it works perfect. Its all in the setup there laddy ! You just don't get it yet do you ? Are you 19 ?

Ps if my sled burned to the ground tomorrow i could live with it. That is the risk you take when you double the HP on a mod sled. Chances are though son i will be riding my turbo when you have put your third motor in your tin can, i should be on my 6th oil change by then. I'm sure my XP will be in the junk pile right where it came from ! :p

3 seasons and 700km and you have both! bullsh*t. as for being a 19 year old, thanks, thats a compliment. ive put over 400km on the tin can this year and the only serious problem were belts, handwarmers, oh boy that one killed me(dad). and my dealers been awesome, looked after everything! and who still rides a sled for 3-4 seasons? i know i will be riding a new one every year!!

Did i fuggin studder ? I have 700km this season on my turbo and 4000km on my Apex in total douchie. And yes i own both, what do you need a picture there sunshine. What your poor brain can't handle the fact that i think one of my machines is a over marketed under engineered junker. The XP works pretty good but is so far from being perfect ! Do you understand now, or do i have to spell it out some more. If you would like your more than welcome to come riding in the hills and maybe you can show me some of those fancy XP moves. Maybe i can learn a couple of things that will help me ride my BIG HEAVY Yamaha !

I bet you have gone through more belts in 400km than I have in 4000km.

where do you ride?

You guys are cracking me up! Finally got some real snow in Oregon. Went twice last week and had a ball... The ol' RT did very well, especially with the new fatchick GenII simmons i bought. Could not believe the difference really. Anyway, helped many a new doo and yammi's get their asses unstuck on Thursday. It was deep!

I have read several of your posts . Your opinion seems to change alot or is at least vague .
If you feel as you say about your Yamaha ? Why buy somthing else ? Why not a nytro if its just for new or a second sled ?
Why would you throw away 10000 + on a pile of junk ? Why be cheap now with a 10.00 bet on your doo against the poo ? Are they just a slightly heavier pile of junk ?

No sled is perfect but they all make a Great SLED .
