what is they BIGGEST PAIN IN THE BUTT about sledding

Fixing the crankshaft in your sled with all genuine parts, getting the dealer to do all the work, then getting denied warranty when there was still about 2 weeks of warranty left. Apparently my warranty started 2 weeks before it was even bought... when I went to LOOK AT IT!

Paying the HUGE bill, driving 2 hours to the mountains with all your friends, and losing the crank again on the trail in. Bringing it back to find out that the crank was so far out of spec that it did the bearing in with about 20 miles.

I even told them before I left the dealership that it had a VERY EXCESSIVE vibration. They said it would go away as soon as it had about 20 minutes of run time. They then gave me all the new parts for a second rebuild and refused to do any labour because 30 days had passed by the time I got it back to the shop. (The shop was a 2 hour drive away and there was no time and no money to pay the gas to get there)

Next season I buy an XP and the crank goes out on the second ride.

How's that?

(Typing all that and reliving all the BS just made me angry...)

PS: If any of you guys comment on this I prolly wont be able to see it. not premium...

Freezing rain.

Nothing worse than losing vision on a ride ... and sometimes you hit just the wrong temperature/humidity/snow/rain combinations where there's nothing you can do to keep your goggles from freezing over.

And then there's the flat light issues. It might just be me but when I can't make out definition in terrain, my level of confidence drops to near zero (that's a polite way of just saying my balls shrivel up to nothing).

Here too.... i live right in the middle of mountains.... it's great!!! My biggest pain in the butt is going pee. I am a female rider and when i have to pee i have to strip down.... it is literally a pain in the butt!!!:ohwell:

When my sleds won't start and run like they should! It really makes me want to go take out a loan and just buy something brand new. Other than that, waiting for winter and decent snowfall are close seconds.

#1: The endless fight to keep land open...
Its what causes the most stress for me, in regards to snowmobiling.
Snowmobiling would be a wonderfully enjoyable sport if it weren't for the political BS associated with it. But, then again, most everything would be much more enjoyable w/o politics involved. Go figure, eh.

2nd to that, trees n rocks that get in my way... :P

Riding Buddies

That do not prepare for snowmobile season.
That do not get in shape.
That do not even look at the sled tell day one.
That do nothing all year to advance there riding skills
That when we go on a serous ride and bring the guy that does not like side hills.

Do not get me wrong I do not mind riding with the girls"I do not mean Females" but just make sure you let me know they are with us or coming.:face-icon-small-hap

X2 on the last one. Especially if its her first ride ever and she is on a short track.

sinc i live in the prairies but ride in mountains 95% of the time. for me riding is anywhere from 6-15 hour drive one way. It gets expensive really fast.

My biggest pain is guys who don't have fun while sledding and are too focused on whining about what everyone else is or is not doing... Just be easy and have fun!

Simply formula: working sled + snow + fuel = awesomeness
