Hmmmmmm.... so you have 5 days off then work 2?

Let me know if your company is hiring! :face-icon-small-hap
I actually work 3, 12's. It is nice other than I was going to school for 5 days a week as well. Now I am done with school. So I should get some riding in, but most of my riding buddies work a real schedule and have weekends off.

I hate buying a plane ticket at the last minute leave friday after work to go Idaho and ride saturday and get there and everyone backs out. Then fly back sunday.

I also dont like driving from Idaho Falls to Colorado Springs with my sled in the back of my truck and have no one to ride with for 2 months and then get my sled back to Idaho and come back here and find 3 people who want to go that weekend.

Oh and I also hate dudes who call at 545 AM and say lets go ride today and you get there house to pick them up and they say my wife needs me home before 4PM. What the #%** kind of person does that?:face-icon-small-fro...Isnt there a sled creed of brotherhood somewhere that is against that?

Yeah, that blows a code.

You guys should build a Sledder's rule book. :)

parking lot posers who talk a big game and don't touch anything on the mountain

I totally agree!!! They just ride around in the meadow in the parking lot all day... Brand new Mountain sleds that they ride on the trails!!!

And How!

Me and my chumm would be thinking that we would go this next weekend, then someone else would ask if they could go with us, but they couldn't go that weekend. ... him ... haw .. around and agree to wait till it fits their schedule better than ours. Then come NEXT weekend - they always seem to back out for whatever reason. :face-icon-small-dis
(they were by no means one certain person. It seemed to happen several times.)

After a while we just learned to say no. The truck pulls out Thursday night. If your there fine. If not. .. We most always rode as a two-some for many yrs. We know who we can count on in more ways than just getting off the porch.

Also - I should note that after we were in the Canadian bush for 3 days out of gas and believed to be dead ... that not too many have asked to ride with us anymore...... "Those guys are NUTZ!"

Also - like you said: when we went riding - it was a weekend trip and all we were there to doo was RIDE! In at 4AM and back out by 8! None of this git 3 hrs of riding in and then head to the bar crap. :face-icon-small-con But invariably - we would hook up with some locals for a day, and then come about 4PM they want to head home so's to take Mamma out tonight. "Well there's the trail - See Yuh!". :clock:

Haven't had those issues in the last <15 yrs!

However - it does seem that our west trips usually git cut by about a day doo to one of us needing to git back doo to werk. You know how it is (if your self employed) if your slow, plan a vacation! LOL! :hurt:

Not having a friend to go with! I'm not to savvy on going by myself! It just isn't a safe thing to do!:face-icon-small-hap

people that complain about land closer but yet still dont get off their a$$ to do anything about it or join a club/association that trys to fight it.

right on Vector boy. In Montana the multiple use license plate is a good way to show support for organizations to keep land open (CBU plate) but only a minority of us have them on our vehicles/trailers. Hopefully this post will shame a few more to get the plates and join a few groups.
