UPDATE: stuff stolen at Albany

How did they find the seats and bottles 7 months later ??? impressive to say the least usually after a short amount of time people (police included) seem to just move on and forget.

I hope this year isnt as bad as I think it will be for people taking stuff from trucks sleds etc.

Ya I remember that post! Did you find your stuff then? Where at? pm me details as I live in Laramie and know most people who ride in this town. If its a local suspect, I'll check it out for ya. Not sure what the stats are but let me know if you need help! Thieves suck!!!!!!!!!

well they popped up in the swapmeet.... phone numbers have been exchanged and hoping the situation resolves itself...I don't know the whole story so I won't say anything.....yet

well they popped up cause i sold them... can think whatever you would like to. i work for wydot and a coworker found this stuff in the right of way fence this summer, looked on here for stolen seats before i posted them but results didnt come up with the way you titled your thread. sorry your stuff got jacked up there but my hands are kinda tied, i sold the seats as a favor to him cause he doesnt snowmobile and made none of the money from the sales...

IMO, it doesn't matter where it was found, if it is proven that it is stolen, it should be returned to the rightful owner.

Doesn't matter that you didn't know they where stolen at the time of sale, in the eyes of the law, now that items are known to be stolen you can be charged with sale of stolen property. If I where the rightful owner of the items I would be getting ahold of the local LEO that did the investigation and let them get the items back.

its not up to me what happens, im tryin to help out... and have nothin to hide. sent an email to the guys that got the seats. i hope the case goes back on the dude they had pulled over cause i get the feeling that im gonna get the shaft on this crap and am stuck in the middle

You want to help out? Take all the info you have such as where the items were found, who found them, who you sold them too with thier names, addresses and contact info down to the local PD so they can finish thier investigation into this crime and I'll buy that your trying to help out, otherwise the "Poor me, my hands are tied, I'm just the middle man" your just as big a dirt bag as the first thief! If your buddy made no money on this sale, then who did, You?

I didn't say one bad thing about you. I just said they popped up for sale in the swapmeet 8 months after the incident. My money says you may be right about the guys that got pulled over from North Dakota. As I stated before I hope the situation resolves itslef...

maybe next time instead of searching you can start a thread.... 3 seats and 2 nitrous bottles found in WY near Laramie....problem solved

no he got the sales money. ill wait to see what they want to do if they call or reply on here.
i dont see your way of thinking im the same as the dude that stole the stuff??? never said poor me or anything like that all i have done so far is help???

I smell a Rat! So now that you know who the rightful owners of the seats are is there any chance that your buddy will give the money from the sale of the items to the original owners? If you really are trying to help out as you say you are that's exactly what you should tellin your buddy to do. I do admit that you deserve a bit of credit for coming on here and fessing up but at this point it's sort of like saying you're sorry....only because you got caught. If you've spent any time on this site at all, you knew dam well how to go about finding the owners of that stuff, and you didn't do it. You deserve what you get!

so as a snowmobiler, if you find 3 boss seats and two nitrous bottles in the road ditch, you're not suspicious? So most of the wrecks you've seen they pick up all the shards of glass and busted plastic and leave the seats?

pick up the glass and plastic? they found this stuff 7 months later and agin i didnt find them so i dont know what all else was there

It doesn't matter. somebody comes to you with 3 boss seats that have only been out a year and you're not suspicious. Especially when he doesn't have sleds! I'm throwing the BULL**** flag!!! You invest the same amount of money and pride into your sled as we do ours. I hope you can Sleep Well knowing you're trying to do the right thing!
