UPDATE: stuff stolen at Albany

apparently im the thief, i stole the seats left them in the sun for 7 months to fadee so i could get a lower price and was counting on people i work with to find them. then i sold them on a site that has alot of users who snowmobile in the snowies to later be found.

unreal... so you dont want any help or what?
ya i guess i should be suspicious of every gas can, blanket, or any other article that is found on the side of the road...

I can't argue that cause i'm sure there's boss seats laying all over WY. roads you win :beer;:beer;

Nobody accused you of stealing them

reading from the link above below is a quote about the ND guys....might not be the whole story. Kinda sounds like 2 vehicals from ND headed out with the stolen stuff, one got pulled over and searched. They then called the othe vehical, and they stopped and ditched the stolen stuff......or maybe I am way off, but that would make sense.

It would be hard to think this stuff was not stolen if anyone found it. Was this stuff in a pile in the ROW? It had to be. If you were going to ditch all this stuff, you would have to stop get the seats/NOS out of the truck or trailer and throw it.

Because you would not have seat and NOS in the cab to just throw out of the window going down the interstate/road. Much less make it to the ROW, all the sh!t would be scattered on the road behind you.

I can see this getting messy......

the had suspects pulled over, searched them but didnt find anything..however the ones that got pulled over were from ND and claimed they were riding alone but they were not, there was another truck and trailer that these people were seen riding with...from what i know the 2 groups came to albany together and left together.

The stuff wasn't stolen off my sled, I was staying in centinnial with a couple other guys but the rest of our group was up in albany.

Whatever the F&^% happened, only the guys that jacked the stuff will know. I/we can speculate all I/we want.

I hope it all works out for the best.

Minie me is being more than coperative on this deal, IMHO.

GOOD LUCK TO ALL THAT ARE INVOLVED

maybe next time instead of searching you can start a thread.... 3 seats and 2 nitrous bottles found in WY near Laramie....problem solved

Ding, ding, ding, we have a winner!

Pretty simple solution and the right thing to do.

unreal... so you dont want any help or what?
ya i guess i should be suspicious of every gas can, blanket, or any other article that is found on the side of the road...

Except it wasn't a blanket or gas can, it was several hundred dollars worth of someone else's stuff.

i sold the seats as a favor to him cause he doesnt snowmobile and made none of the money from the sales... .[/QUOTE said:
First you say he didn't make any money off the sale, then later you state that "no he got the sales money" . Which is it? Your defense and justification on selling found high end sled parts is pretty pathetic. I don't know why the victims of the crime are even messing around trying to go through you to get results, I guess I would handle things completly different but its thier stuff, thier perogative. Am I accusing you of theft, no but give me a break, you know what those parts are worth. I see people on here all the time posting found items, your attempt to find the owners wasn't even a weak one.

i know when i drive down the road i have to put a tie down over my seat and bottles so they dont fly off around corners....

The cops aren't going to waste their time on several hundred dollars worth of someone else's stuff. Had 2 company trucks stole in the last year. They don't put detectives on the case, if they find they find it. After a week I got a post card from the local PD that said, If you find you car please let us know so we can take if off the stolen vehicle list.

Good luck getting it back.

But if you know who took it in North Dakota handle privately and discreetly.

Had a 95 ZRT 800 that a guy bought, wrote a bogus check and had no intent on paying, knew he was in the snowies with it, found his truck that day. I would of loved to see his face when he got back to it with four slashed tires and a slashed spare. Ended up getting the sled back couple of weeks later.

Again hope it all works out

First off...I am going to vouge for AJ! He is a stand up guy and honestly doesnt need the phuggin money out these seats. I dont know the whole story and frankly dont care at this point. If Mini had anything to do with this that was not on the level do you REALLY think he would be making public posts?

Hind site is always better they say so instead of refelcting on what coulda been done AJ is offering to help with what can be done.

Why wouldn't you make a call to the local LEO if you found all this ****? We're talking about 2k worth of stuff on the side of the road. You don't find it suspicious?

You're no better than the people who stole the stuff, IMHO.

in my experiences (western side of wash) everyone ive been around goes out of there way to help, find or return anything.even if it cuts into your riding up on the mountain.like everyone said bad choices were made when thousands of dollars of items were found and sold.funny i looked at that sale too lucky i had one on my new machine and thought wow thats cheap

I totally agree, take a trip up 130 or 230 in the summer, there are coolers, gas cans, all sorts of stuff that has fallin off of trucks and trailers during the summer/winter, and I'm sure if you took the time to look since the snow has melted, there is plenty of stuff laying in the barrow ditches or up against trees and fences. When I find stuff I post it and then keep or sell it, if nobody responds who's at fault IMO? Maybe some differant options should have been used in this case, but I know that AJ had no bad intentions on this matter, and he is trying to help out, so dont treat him like he's the thief!
