Twisted Turbos

with the CPC dual injector throttle bodies..... other turbo companies will be buying these, they are bad a$$. There are only two sets in existence right now

Now that all you guys think you got me why dont you reread what i said, notice the "CPC dual injector" part. Now mtn Extreme if you would like to go out and look at your sled again I think you will discover that yours are Twisted and not CPC. You'll also notice that yours are 46mm and mine are 50mm so chew on that Mr. twisted koolaid klone..... out :beer;

My CPC m8 will be at Fairview and I would be happy to run against any twisted nation sled. And yes Ill match boost levels to keep it fair.

ps shane you know Im just stirrin the pot here. cant believe your so scared to race the TReX that you are going clear back to Canada instead of Fairview......hahaha

When one guy might have a larger compressor

I'll bring the tow rope....lol

freak I would like to see trex run before I go , are you going out testing ?

ahh man shane your too ez going now that your a big shot in the turbo kingdom, cant get a rise out of ya.

Ya Im gonna be testing next week, this weekend is monster jam in vegas with the boy, dad son thing. Next week is test mania. I hear rumblings of a shootout deuce possibly tony grove after Yamafest for those who went to the great white north. We can hook up then. I heard you did some stupid pull up there, wish I woulda been there to see it. Good luck at Yamafest, dont care who kicks butt as long as theyre American and dont let them convince you to wear a hockey jersey!

My belt life on TM1200 at 7-10 lbs boost has been great, motor mounts and engine alignment are a big factor. I have blown only 2 belts on this sled since turbo and 1 was a bad belt (1 ride and blew new looking chunks everywhere on small hill at 1/2 throttle) and other was not having tether and flipping sled upside down at full throttle and not getting to key before belt blew out bellypan. Went riding yesterday in deep heavy snow and my sled was only one not having belt issues. 3 other stock M1000 blew 5 belts between them.

Thanks Brian, I'll be bringing my sled up to have you port the turbo next time I'm home from AK.

When is the Fairview Shootout...I would like to run my TM7 against a Twisted or Cutler M8 or 1000. I have beat an Tapex running 22 pounds of boost and another running 18 pounds. I also beat an OVS M8 running 14 LBS and I was running 10. When I ran against the OVS kit I had just got the kit installed and was dialing it in. I don't know why, but this M7 runs really strong and good. I would like to race against some big turbos and possibly beat up on them alittle bit LOL at the fairview shoot out. PLEASE let me know if it is next weekend or in two weeks.

Thanks

If you buy the pump gas twisted m8 kit can it be upgraded later to the race gas kit? whats involved, and whats the cost? also how much boost will the pump gas fuel system support (running on race gas)?

the way to do what you want is just get the race gas setup, but make sure you get it so you can drop boost back down againt, meaning a really low wastegate, that way your not stuck with 10psi+ or something, this way you know you can put better fuel in and go and not worry about fueling system, etc. talk to shane himself, his info is better then mine :)

The stock fuel system will safely support 6-7#s of boost. Some guys have pushed it a little further but we recomend 7#s max. Depending on what you would have with the pumpgas it would need duel injector throttle bodies, fuel pump, fuel pump wiring kit, cylinder head machining, boost controller, wastegate actuator, fuel control box, and clutching. If you see yourself wanting racegas power after growing out of pumpgas your better off getting the pump/racegas kit from the start and save a few bucks. We will have a complete list of prices for individual parts and complete kits on twistedturbos.com very soon. Until then you can PM product tester or myself for prices and info. Greg.

you have some video of these races?? sounds like your got your tm7 ripping. Freak and product tester, make sure to document these races. would be cool to watch.

I don't have video...but the apex may be there at fairview. I don't know whose OVS sled I raced, it was at Jefferson. They may not have had there sleds tuned in as well. That is why I am coming to Fairview...to see how it compares to the guys who say there sleds and turbo kits are soooo fast and powerful. If they beat me then I will just go back to the drawing board and make it faster. If I win, then they will have to do the same. It is all for fun. I know that this M7 does rip and should not be under estimated.

radski this is what the shootout is for, people like you. Come on down and see what fast is. Maybe its you, maybe the guys you have been racing are really just slow. One thing for sure, by the time sat is over you will know.
On a side note. If you beat an Apex on 22lbs with an m7 then rest assured the Apex was ill tuned.

Here is what I know-

Freak, if I don't come down there then I can still claim my sled as being faster than yours and still the fastest sled in these here parts. Prove me wrong and come on up:D:beer;

You can also claim your not gay but we all know the truth whether you come to Fairview or not right? ;)

I thought this was a "Im in love with Twisted Turbos" Post, not fairview.

I made an observation the other day while out riding. Turbos are friggn awesome. There was only 1 turbo on the mountain running well and it wasn't a Twisted. In fact on the way up the trail I passed a mechanics shop. I didnt realize twisted had mountain service shops all over the place. If that is the kind of service you get with a Twisted set up sign me up!
