THUNDER MOUNTAIN LODGE SNOW REPORT IV

Grand Mesa received about 3" of fresh last night. Still lots of areas with plenty of powder, mostly in the trees it is great. Base is set up very well. If the storm that is supposed to hit on Weds. dumps us a foot or better it will be perfect.

Thanks Mark and all the Staff at TML for an awesome time last week. We had a blast riding the Mesa for the first time, can't wait to head back.

The Low is starting to dump here in CA, calling for 12" tonight, then it's headed your way.... enjoy

Thunder Mountain Lodge has 18" of the finest Colorado Powder this year in the lot this morning. It is still snowing like crazy at 1 PM. Come and get ya some. It has to be 3-4 ' deep on top. Perfect conditions.

Ha, I'll be around for the Forum ride, but Ryan and I (and some of the other TMR boys) are going to be as far away as possible from that train wreck! Our backs can't handle pulling that many sleds out!

BTW Covelli, did you get that Team Orange (or SLP blue/pink) Primary spring into your sled? Curious to see what you thought about that getting your clutching dialed in.

No, I left the sled out there so I will probably wait until after the season to get it home and switch the spring. Last trip I did put lighter weights and a lower gear in the chain case which seemed to help a bit. Thanks for your advice!

I just happen to know a guy who could do it for you before you get here if you really want to blow past McDivitt! Seems as though the gears and weights helped.

I just read a snow report on the NOAA site that reported 18 inches of new snow in an 8-hour period on the mesa! And that was at 1 this afternoon! Any first-hand reports to confirm or deny the report? Let's hope it's true. Keep dumpin' Here's the report:

TML received about 6" in the lot today and it is still snowing. Guys just got back in from riding and are reporting about 18" to the north and east. Looking good on the Mesa right now!

Gonna skip work this afternoon and go do a little exploring in all that new snow! Hey Mark you open for dinner on Wednesdays? I might need a beer and a steak after all that powder! Woo hoo! Powderhorn ski resort is officially reporting 49" of new snow in the past week. The mesa is killer right now!

Stop in bar and restaurant are open. Feel free to come and park here also. I do have a lot of sleds in the lot right now with all the people here from Sweden. Very good groups here right now and the snow is perfect.
