Thinking about buying a proclimb

The 14 cat rubbers work way better than the Polaris rubbers. Fill in the whole saddle area instead unlike the Polaris ones. Just have to do a little trimming to a couple nub rows on the bottom of the cat rubber, and cut the plastic saddle on the grippers to fit. Pretty easy.

I put the grippers on my 12 with the new rubbers and it was easy and better than stock.

Just a heads up, I've heard the Poo rubbers are junk. So might want to mod the cat rubber. No experience just word on the street....

A few of my buddies on pros are saying they're going to the C&A rubber because the polaris rubber doesn't keep the front of the ski from coming all the way up enough, letting the ski go vertical from time to time when you don't want it.

I'm about to put grippers on the XM, and am wondering how the doo rubber will work with the poo ski.

As to the skis, in general I prefer a narrower ski. I've NEVER wanted a big fat skis as it doesn't allow the skis to sink when you want it to, making the sled harder to sidehill when the snow isn't fluffy blower. That said, I've run M's with all sorts of skis, like the cut PP's, but never bothered to run another ski on purpose on them. I even ran a crossfire ski for a full season, ran a MTX for a full season on one sled... hated it, too wide.

In general, I wouldn't want to mod the sled with wider skis, so no, I don't see that being something I need to base my test ride off of.

As to me needing convincing... it was close, I wanted to be convinced... that was the whole point of me taking it out, I was hoping I'd like it & switch back. The front end of the XP is a TURD, and being able to hit the occasional rock without needing 20 hours of work is a pretty big deal to me.

I'm about to spend many hundreds "fixing" the front end of the doo...about $800 compared to me buying a BDX front end at my cost, and being able to swap out parts at cost in the future... there is a LOT of motivation for me to switch back to cat.
It'll probably happen when I total the 14 though :D

The PPs mounts are higher than the pro mounts thus on the PP's you are putting more ski pressure down in the snow, it makes it harder to steer sometimes. (if I remember right) the pro skis keep close to stock height.

BCIL... Pretty sure your last sentence was just throwing us a bone. Bunch of pahranias in here I tell ya. I don't see what the big deal is. You're not THAT cool. :p lmao!

Well... paying retail for EVERYTHING on the doo (or close to it) or getting almost everything at wholesale... literally the only BDX stuff I can use on my XM are the antistabs that I am using as crossbraced inner idlers, and the light!

If I ride a PC setup that I like, I'm all for switching... I've just got to ride one first!
