A famous ruffy edit. It's very simple, if you don't want to serve, find another way to go to college, on your own dime. Don't give me this freedom, young age, controlled environment crap. Thats bs, call a spade a spade. A huge portion of the youth of today are to weak to handle the military.
That doesn't mean I don't know what benefits they get.... I stomp hard!
Great, you have an idea of the benefits, and expect the same for doing little to nothing. But you don't know or understand what we do/did to earn them. If you did, you would be just as insulted as every other service member by the first idiot's idea for free college for volunteering for his hitler youth or whatever he wants to call it.

Exactly! It is about selfishness and laziness Ruffy! This generation is a bunch of entitled lazy chits....granted there are still a lot of good kids....the majority....ya NO! It is about what they can get for NOTHING and you are the type that help them feel entitled to it. I have a lot of welfare fraud cases I work on. About 6 months ago while arresting a suspect, she yelled at me that it was her right to welfare. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! That is the general attitude these days by the younger generation. So you think it is a young person's right to free education? That they don't have to earn their education? You don't have the money to pay for it....hmmmmm research ways to get it paid for....certain employers do because you contribute something to them....including the military! Don't like your options of getting it paid for? Too ****ing bad! We all have to do things in life we don't LIKE...unless you are an elitist! BOOOO HOOOO I don't want to go in the military because I am a sissy boy/girl.....I don't want to do something that doesn't COMPLETELY benefit me! boooo hooo.....the military has jobs in everything you can think of....if you want to go to school and have no other means ....then ****ing suck it up and serve if that is the only reason you want to serve for. I am sick of the entitlment in this country! what youth lacks is perspective...you cant gain it by learning from a bunch of people who are already convinced they know it all, and who assume they already know what is best for them...
What the aged lacks is tolerance for ignorance and arrogance of those who merely portend to know more, only to be proven time and time again to be vacant of logic and the ability to think rationally...
you know, like was on demonstration last night...it is great to have lots of plans, and want to make change...however, it is impossible to have the change being discussed without impacting more than just the top 2%...Additionally, dont forget DC speak..."Not raising taxes" does not mean the same as keeping taxes at the present level...
Obama will not renew the current tax breaks (put in place by the last administriation)..And the biggest group impacted by these tax breaks (despite popular opinion) was the middle class...
So, call it what you want, paint it however you so choose, drink whatever kool-aid you need to...but if the government takes more of my money, that seems like an increase to me...

My belief system is earning everything I've worked for, everyone wants a free handout. College is expensive, but it's the greatest tool that I can have. Would I go into the military if I could start all over again? Course I would, because I have great pride in this country...not just for the benefits. I think it is selfish to go just for the benefits of it all. Laziness is prevalent in over 50% of our country...but like was said before it'll be the hardworking citizens of the US to bring this country back on its feet. You can't just assume that one man is gonna do it all, actions speak louder than words..

What i gathered from all of this is that he has good intentions and ideas, but there is no real plan put forth to us on how we are going to achieve these goals, let alone pay for them.
He mentioned over and over that the middle class would not pay one dime more in taxes. He also didn't mention that we would pay one dime less. It seems that he is going to tax the upper 2%, but there would really be no cut to the middle class.
My motto is: We are all responsible for our own actions/ inactions in this life.
America is the land of opprotunity for those who are willing to work hard to achieve their goals
