Maybe the money saved from having all the volunteers providing services that the government doesn't need to hire full time staff for will cover schooling costs. Kind of makes some sense if you think about it....

Wow, seems like its time for the great one to spew out what he feels anyone opposed to him and his stimulus package wanted to hear. Its not going to get any better. How exactly is he going to cut the deficit in half in 4 years, without raising taxes except on the upper 2%. Do the math, the numbers do not add up. Raising taxes on Corporations is not the answer either. The US has some of the lowest corp taxes in the free world. If he raises taxes on the Corps, they will leave the US for a more tax favorable enviornment, which equals less US jobs. This is just the lead up for more spending in the name of stimulus.

Sorry Ruffy but Volunteers Are almost always wealthy, retired people who have time and money to spend their time this way. Under BO's plan this class will be no more or at least greatly curtailed.

If gets half the stuff done that he said he will do, he'll be awesome. Not letting kids drop out and college paid for for civil service volunteers, healthcare reform etc. But he needs to get it done before the 2010 elections while he has the support. I did like the fact that he did mention govt was also to blame for the current crisis. Sounds like socialism but better than fascism or communism.

interesting....we can give all the house a raise, we can throw a inaguration party that is 3x more expensive then the previous most expensive, we can hire tax evader secratry of treasury.....and we can support voulenteers.....puke!

the answer is, we can just print more money. I hope my kids are out of school before the teachers checks bounce....then again, I feel knowledgable enough to educate my children.
