Do you even know how much they get paid. Most E6 and lower.. 22k a year and below... For protecting this country... pathetic. Crappy health care at military facilities.... pathetic.

as well as the respect and well earned gratitude of our free society. These are forms of additional payment.

When I was in the military (83-87) I got out as an E-5.
I qualified for food stamps.
The pay is pitiful.

I didn't say that "it" was crap, only counting it as a form a payment is.... honor and respect are not payments... I think it devalues them to consider them as such... IMO... To each their own though...

I work at Mayo and the care I get vs what my dad gets at the VA is no even funny.
