I am all for guns and stuff so don't get me wrong, but did hitler actually say that or are u just taking a quote for something you are against and stick it to a negatively polarized figure in history?

I took an intrest in Hilter history in college. I've read over 30 books on him
(I have no love for the man, he was pure evil) but some of the quotes that are being posted may have lost some of the meaning when translated.

Here is a clear quote from him in 42:

"The most foolish mistake we could possibly make would be to allow the subject races to possess arms. History shows that all conquerors who have allowed their subject races to carry arms have prepared their own downfall by so doing. Indeed, I would go so far as to say that the supply of arms to the underdogs is a sine qua non for the overthrow of any sovereignty. So let's not have any native militia or native police. German troops alone will bear the sole responsibility for the maintenance of law and order throughout the occupied Russian territories, and a system of military strong-points must be evolved to cover the entire occupied country." --Adolf Hitler, dinner talk on April 11, 1942, quoted in Hitler's Table Talk 1941-44: His Private Conversations, Second Edition (1973), Pg. 425-426. Translated by Norman Cameron and R. H. Stevens. Introduced and with a new preface by H. R. Trevor-Roper. The original German papers were known as Bormann-Vermerke.

Article 15

The State has the responsibility to promote and facilitate the teaching of human rights and fundamental freedoms at all levels of education and to ensure that all those responsible for training lawyers, law enforcement officers, the personnel of the armed forces and public officials include appropriate elements of human rights teaching in their training programme.

(if this is true, why isn't it happening? i don't ever remember being taught anything what so ever about my human rights at any level of education....do u?)

That is interesting indeed, When I googled the quote in the picture I found sources that said ^that above in a very general way. However, hitler was not talking about his own people, but conquered countries. So it really doesn't apply to the US and the guns debate. Not that it really matters I guess, I just find it distasteful(like how stories are twisted by the media to fit their agenda)

"The [Nazi party] should not become a constable of public opinion, but must dominate it. It must not become a servant of the masses, but their master!"

Here's another one since we are on Hitler quotes^^ Thinking like this, which is still common today in many countries, and was prevalent throughout the history of mankind, is why we live in the good ole USA. Because our govt, be it Dem or Rep, is supposed to be a servant to it's masses, not it's master. Unfortunately, I think they have forgotten that!!!

This is from a soon to open local shooting range responding to a stupid comment from a politician

KSH, Mills is opening a range? Got any details?

Not much for details. They are opening it in the old Paul Bunyan Bowl building. They were suppose to open end of November and still have not set a hard date yet. The rumor I have heard is that they have not gotten the final ATF inspection for the new FFL.
