The 2013s!!! What's stopping you from buying?

Price is why I've never bought new. I'm 18 and broke due to college how could I afford to buy a 13g sled??? That's about 2 summers working full time for me! I saved 5000 for my sled and I'm going to make it work for the next 5 years at least(and I've already had it two, and it was ridden one season before that)! Luckily its a 600 and it will run forever, and when I sell it it will probably be worth more than the 800 dragons the same year.

Himark, as far as cheaper msrp's I won't hold my breath, I think that you are dreaming about them going down in price.

You are probably right, I am stepping out on a limb making this statement but I am considering the low snow this year (nationwide) will hurt 13 sales dramatically with all the 12's with low miles...on top of them pushing the high end of what people are willing to pay for a elective hobby and that limited amount of disposable income these days.
Anyway just for the record, remember what I said and next year you can rub it in my face...or buy me a beer with that extra money you save if I am right!

**keep in mind they wont just fold the price down it will be in the form of some sales stimulating program ie, rebates, warranties, gear etc. (anything offered in excess of the past)so they can save face then the following year you will see the MSRP hold the line or lower. JMO.

That's another reason I drive an 03 F250. I get just as much power (yes, the truck is modded too) better mileage and I don't have to add a quart of piss to the fuel in order to make it run. I don't have any emission BS holding me back. And yeah, I ripped around the MC Lot draggin my trailer behind me while an 2012 F350 and a 2012 Dodge were stuck. Wish I had the GoPro on at that moment. It was quite funny.

As an owner of diesel trucks in my business since 1999, 5 7.3, 5 6.0, 4 6.4 and 1 new 6.7. The older motors have nothing on the new 6.7, big deal you have to add 5 gallons of DEF at every oil change. I got in one of my 7.3's this morning (2002 F-350 flatbed 35,000 miles) that motor is so underpowered and I forgot about the turbo lag compared to the new motor. I'm sure your truck is a real runner, but it doesn't hold a candle to the new trucks, let alone the new technology in the dash, Ford Sync is great.

Yep, uh-huh, what he said.

What the hell is "Sync"

And you can tell that guy in the 2013 F350 that was stuck last week in 15" of snow that that guy in the ol' 2003 F250 that ripped around him and 3 other stuck trucks through the same chopped up snow that his truck is superior. ;)
I will be running the GoPro tomorrow to do it again.

I feel your pain, I was an owner operator until i sold my truck to go "play" in the sand.

At the rates my friends are getting right now, i wouldnt have even started my truck, and i damn sure aint buying another rig and wagon until it gets alot better agian

Fuel Costs - try spending around $50,000 a year just for fuel, at 6 MPG if your lucky
Shipping Costs - my break even point 2 years ago was $1.42 per mile, on a 500 mile trip, different wagons change that number, as does a newer than 12 year old truck
Taxes - Up, Up, Up (import tax, export tax, income tax, sales tax...)
But when I try and pass these costs along to the consumer, they freak out and won't pay- try getting alittle more from a shipper to actually see your 6% annual ROI - add in HVUT, all the different states you have to apportion for, every scalemaster that "needs" his piece for the DOT, every local cop who see's you as a mobile ATM, crazy fines for dumb stuff....like running the engine for heat/a/c and getting a tcket for it (anti idleing laws), parking tickets when there is no where else you can get to to legally get to to park

It is that hope and change thing silly people elected three years ago AND local/state blood suckers thinking they need more and more $$$... just wait it is going to get crazy in 2013-14 with Obamacare :usa2: but to answer the question, "Why are you not buying a 2013"... because I bought a 2012

i want to snowcheck a 13 , i am not brand loyal at all but am having a hard time deciding. The polaris has a lot of cool new features but am not sold on that motor, the cat 800 is a sweet motor and i could like that chassis but there belt and clutch issues is holding me back . The doo has an excellent motor but the tmotion and flex track is a deal breaker for me, and well yamaha is just to heavy for me anymore.

I will never waste my money on mods again. Keeping my 12 Pro Snowcheck(261km) that I bought used for a steal and let someone else take the *** reaming from the government on taxes..Ride this for 2-3 years and hand it down to my now 13 year old. And do the same thing, buy a sled that has next to nothing for miles and let someone else buy it new.

Soo, the 2013 Sport w/ Ptek 800 doesn't have the new skid or track???
Anybody know if this is official or a guess?
