I officially hate tire pressure sensors. These things are total pain in the @ss. So I just rotated my tires and the system is now indicating that I need to check the rear tires. I rotated front to back and the systems still thinks the tires are in the same location. Anyone know how to program the system so it can relearn the actual location of the tire pressure sensors? I have a 2008 Chevy Silverado. Thanks!
Adjust your valves. If it is hard to start hot and running rough, your valves are most likely too tight. If it has stock exhaust put something else on it and rejet it. Just about every four stroke these days needs that. About the only thing I like about the newer four strokes is electric start.
A couple weeks ago there was four of us out riding, 3 four strokes and me. 2 guys hit their E start and go, my boss says to me "sucks to be the only one without electric start" and hits his start button. I give the old 490 one kick and it fires up and I lean over to him and say "sucks to have a bike that doesn't fire up right away huh" as he was still cranking on his and I took off.
Congrats on the Jeep!
Soon it will look like mine.....
GOOD LORD TOP, do you just sell things when they get an actual scratch in them?

it has a FMF Powercore 4 slip-on.
yeah i need to get the valves adjusted..i'm not setting one tool on that motor though..i'll fix up a 2 stroke, but i'm not taking any chances on that thumper motor. oh..and yippie, it has very low compression so yay i get to re-do the top end!
can anyone do this cheaper/sooner than a dealer? none of the dealers can get me in for like 2 weeks..i want to ride this thing as soon as i can..i've had it for 4 days and now i need to fxckin rebuild it..so i'm not really a happy camper.
Adjust your valves then do a compresson check again. If your valves are tight(most likely) it will have low compression because it is holding the valves open just a bit.
I don't know anything about Kawi's but the Honda's stock top ends don't last very long.
hmm, well i can kick it over with my hand..so dunno if the valves would be making it have THAT low of compression? and it's an '04..so it should be ready for a top end anyway? could i get away with just adjusting the valves or should i do the top end anyway before it blows up?
